Egg Bomb

The Egg Bomb loaded into the Rotten Egg Blaster.

The Rotten Egg Bomb is an object that appears in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. It was a weapon created by Dr. Robotnik. It is the ammunition for the Rotten Egg Blaster to be launched at the target.

The Rotten Egg Bomb appears as an oversize egg, though its name presumes it is past its expiration date. As the bomb does not use actual explosives, the egg breaks upon impact, causing damage and hinders the victims' movements with its goo.[1]

Dr. Robotnik used the Egg Bomb in attempt to stop Sonic and Tails from rescuing Lucas. Sonic, however, used a large spring from a nearby grandfather clock to return the egg to Robotnik. Sonic (dressed a chef) humoured the now egged Robotnik by tossing him in a large frying pan.[1]

  • The nature of the weapon could be a nod towards his original name Dr. Eggman which was Dr. Robotnik's name only in Japan at the time this episode was made, until it was brought worldwide.
