Sa'id (サイイド Saiido?) is a character that appears in Sonic Unleashed. He is a human resident of Shamar and an expert on Chai, a type of tea that has been drunk in Shamar for generations.
History

Long ago, Sa'id was dating a girl, until one day where she asked Sa'id of which he loved more: tea or her. Quckly, Sa'id told the girl it was Chai, which made the girl leaving Sa'id not long after. During his life, Sa'id spend his days looking for the ultimate Chai, collecting all kinds of tea leaves during his search, and managed to taste nearly all the teas in Shamar.
During the events of Sonic Unleashed, Sa'id became possessed by Dark Gaia's Minions, which caused Sa'id to lose all interest in Chai at nighttime, but would later return to normal during the day.
Later on, Sa'id met Sonic the Hedgehog and Chip when they first arrived in Shamar, where he asked Sonic if he had tasted Chai. Sa'id then began telling Sonic about Chai and how he was a specialist on Chai, who was searching for the ultimate Chai. During the following nightfall, Sa'id met Sonic and Chip again, but due to his personality being altered at night, Sa'id told them how he prefered a glass of iced coffee over Chai.
Sa'id continued to have this behavior for some time, shifting between his moods between day and night, until he was exorcised by Sonic the Werehog and Chip when they returned. As he recovered from being exorcised, Sa'id told Sonic and Chip how his mind felt clearer and how glad he was to enjoy Chai again while repressing his pride for drinking Chai, even on hot days.
Some time afterwards, Sa'id met Sonic and Chip once more, where he told them about his quest for the ultimate Chai, before mentioning that he had never found the red tea leaves that was treasured in Shamar. Sa'id then requested of Sonic that if he ever found the Red Tea, he should bring him some. As Sonic accepted the request, Sa'id thanked him and told about the rumor he had heard of red tea being in Shamar's Entrance Stage. Not long after, Sonic returned with some red tea, which made Sa'id excited. After receiving the red tea, Sa'id thanked Sonic and said he would make some Chai with it right away. After trying his newly made Chai, Sa'id met up with Sonic and Chip again and told them that the flavor of the Chai with red tea was out of this world. Having now tasted all Chais in Shamar, Sa'id decided to continue searching for the ultimate Chai elsewhere in the world, and left Shamar shortly after.
After leaving Shamar, Sa'id heard there was Yellow Tea in Chun-nan and went there, where he later met Sonic and Chip again. There, Sa'id told Sonic why he was in Chun-nan and requested of him that if he ever found some yellow tea, he should bring him some. As Sonic accepted the request, Sa'id thanked him and told about the rumor he had heard of yellow tea being in Chun-nan's Entrance Stage. Not long after, Sonic returned with some yellow tea, which made Sa'id excited. After receiving the yellow tea, Sa'id thanked Sonic and said he would make some Chai with it right away. After trying his newly made Chai, Sa'id met up with Sonic and Chip again and told them that the color of Chai with yellow tea was out of this world. Having now tasted all Chais in Chun-nan, Sa'id decided to continue searching for the ultimate Chai elsewhere in the world, and left Chun-nan shortly after.
After leaving Shamar, Sa'id heard there was Turquoise Tea in Mazuri and went there, where he later met Sonic and Chip again. There, Sa'id told Sonic why he was in Mazuri and requested of him that if he ever found some turquoise tea, he should bring him some. As Sonic accepted the request, Sa'id thanked him and told about the rumor he had heard of turquoise tea being in Mazuri's Entrance Stage. Not long after, Sonic returned with some turquise tea, which made Sa'id excited. After receiving the turquoise tea, Sa'id thanked Sonic and said he would make some Chai with it right away. After trying his newly made Chai, Sa'id met up with Sonic and Chip again and told them that the Chai with turquoise tea was quite spicy. Having now tasted all Chais in Mazuri, Sa'id decided to continue searching for the ultimate Chai elsewhere in the world, and left Mazuri shortly after.
After leaving Mazuri, Sa'id heard there was Blue Tea in Apotos and went there, where he later met Sonic and Chip again. Intrigued about continuously bumping into each other, Sa'id told Sonic why he was in Apotos and requested of him that if he ever found some blue tea, he should bring him some. As Sonic accepted the request, Sa'id thanked him and told about the rumor he had heard of blue tea being in Apotos's Entrance Stage. Not long after, Sonic returned with some blue tea, which made Sa'id excited. After receiving the blue tea, Sa'id thanked Sonic and said he would make some Chai with it right away. After trying his newly made Chai, Sa'id met up with Sonic and Chip again and told them that the Chai with blue tea was rich and full-bodied. Having now tasted all Chais in Apotos, Sa'id decided to continue searching for the ultimate Chai elsewhere in the world, and left Apotos shortly after.
After leaving Apotos, Sa'id heard there was etet Tea in Holoska and went there, where he later met Sonic and Chip again. Despite the cold, Sa'id told Sonic why he was in Holoska and requested of him that if he ever found some violet tea, he should bring him some. As Sonic accepted the request, Sa'id thanked him and told about the rumor he had heard of violet tea being in Holoska's Entrance Stage. Not long after, Sonic returned with some violet tea, which made Sa'id excited. After receving the violet tea, Sa'id thanked Sonic and said he would make some Chai with it right away. After trying his newly made Chai, Sa'id met up with Sonic and Chip again and told them that the Chai with violet tea had a bitter taste only a grown up would love. Having now tasted all Chais in Holoska, Sa'id decided to continue searching for the ultimate Chai elsewhere in the world, and left Holoska shortly after.
After leaving Holoska, Sa'id heard there was White Tea in Empire City and went there, where he later met Sonic and Chip again. There, Sa'id told Sonic why he was in Empire City and requested of him that if he ever found some white tea, he should bring him some. As Sonic accepted the request, Sa'id thanked him and told about the rumor he had heard of white tea being in Empire City's Entrance Stage. Not long after, Sonic returned with some white tea, which made Sa'id excited. After receving the white tea, Sa'id thanked Sonic and said he would make some Chai with it right away. After trying his newly made Chai, Sa'id met up with Sonic and Chip again and told them that the Chai with white tea was quite refreshing. Having now tasted all Chais in Empire City, Sa'id decided to continue searching for the ultimate Chai elsewhere in the world, and left Empire City shortly after.
After leaving Empire City, Sa'id heard there was Green Tea in Adabat and went there, where he later met Sonic and Chip again. Having know he would see him again, Sa'id told Sonic why he was in Adabat and requested of him that if he ever found some green tea, he should bring him some. As Sonic accepted the request, Sa'id thanked him and told about the rumor he had heard of green tea being in Adabat's Entrance Stage. Not long after, Sonic returned with some green tea, which made Sa'id excited. After receving the green tea, Sa'id thanked Sonic and said he would make some Chai with it right away. Now with teas from all over the world, Sa'id thanked Sonic for his help, before noting that he now blend all his teas to make the ultimate Chai, and gave him Video Tape 24 as his way of saying thanks. Sa'id then proclaimed that his quest for the ultimate Chaai would forge on, no matter the sate the planet might be in.
At some point afterwards, Sa'id traveled back Shamar. While back home, Sa'id rejoiced with the rest of the town when the world returned to normal following Perfect Dark Gaia's defeat at the hands of Super Sonic and the Gaia Colossus.
PS2/Wii
Sa'id never made any real appearance during the PS2/Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, and only appeared during the cutscenes. After Super Sonic and the Gaia Colossus's confrontation with Perfect Dark Gaia, Sa'id rejoiced with the rest of the town when the world returned to normal following Perfect Dark Gaia's defeat.
Personality
Sa'id loves Chai more than anything else in the world and claims to an Chai specialist. He usually spends his time searching for the world's ultimate Chai.

- How to obtain mission: After you exorcising Sa'id, go to the World Map, return to Shamar's hub world and talk to Sa'id.
- Objective: Go to Shamar's Entrance Stage, obtain the Red Tea that can be found inside and bring it to Sa'id.
Tip Top Tea 2
- How to obtain mission: After completing the mission "Tip Top Tea 1", go to Chun-nan's hub world and talk to Sa'id.
- Objective: Go to Chun-nan's Entrance Stage, obtain the Yellow Tea that can be found inside and bring it to Sa'id.

- How to obtain mission: After completing the mission "Tip Top Tea 2", go to Mazuri's hub world and talk to Sa'id.

In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics, Sa'id is a local resident of Shamar. He met Spike while he looked for Ehsan, but could not help him with his search.

- All the teas that Sa'id asked Sonic to find for him during his missions have the same colors as the seven Chaos Emeralds.
