Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
The first few turns are tight ones as racers descend a series of steps. The rivals can take multiple routes here to the bottom, but regardless of the path chosen, the player is greeted by 90-degree turns. This can wreak havoc with a character who is slower to turn, and the low lips along the edges can also make it easy for vehicles to get stuck if they brush against them the wrong way.
Past the sharp turns, the path expands into a more open area. There are numerous signs here. Their posts will stop racers short, so it pays to remember where those are and to avoid them accordingly. However, there are small gaps throughout. Rather than driving around them, it is sometimes possible to drive straight across them. Momentum will carry racers through the air and allow them to land on the other side unscathed, just as long as rival racers weren't attacking when during the attempt.
Continuing through the course, opponents race across some bridges and along more tight turns, and soon proceeding along a relatively straight stretch. Here the path splits slightly as racers ascend a hill. It doesn't matter which path is taken. There are items available along both, as well as the same hazard: large balls that roll back and forth in a predictable pattern.
