Sea Gate is the tutorial stage in Sonic Heroes.

Description

Throughout the level, Omochao will help the player out by teaching them the game's basic controls, as well as how each formation works and how to fight enemies. The stage takes place in a small canyon close to Seaside Hill. The music is also similar. No rankings are given for this stage. Team Rose automatically goes through Sea Gate as a mandatory tutorial before starting their actual story, while Team Sonic can opt to run through the level via the "Tutorial" option on the main menu screen. It is impossible to play as Team Dark or Team Chaotix here without hacking.

• The music that plays in this stage also plays in Seaside Hill of 2P Battle mode's Action Race and Seaside Course of Bobsled Race.
