SEGA Enterprises (originally Service Games of Japan) is a division of Sega-Sammy Holdings. It controls Sonic Team, responsible for the majority of the Sonic videogames. The company ranks second to Nintendo and Capcom. SEGA also has large control over the arcade market. Alex Kidd was SEGA's former mascot until, in 1991, he was replaced by Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic the Hedgehog is SEGA's main mascot.

SEGA is now a third party publisher. The annual revenue for SEGA is $800 Million/Year.
