Template:Infobox Comic Character Silver Sonic v3.0, also known as Silver Sonic III, was one of many robot duplicates of Sonic the Hedgehog created by Dr. Eggman and a part of the Metal Sonic Series. It exists in both the Pre-and Post-Super Genesis Wave timelines.

Description

A modified and much larger version of Silver Sonic II and Silver Sonic, Silver Sonic III was sent to attack the invaders of the Death Egg Mark 2 that it was guarding. Similar to the first model, it possesses the ability to spin into a ball like Sonic, but its massive size is compensated by its ability to engage the blue hedgehog into fierce hand-to-hand combat while deflecting most of Sonic's attacks. It appears in Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Issue 225 and Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Issue 230.

Personality

Silver Sonic v3.0 did not have any personality. It busted through a tiny entrance that was an elevator and proceeded to fight Sonic the Hedgehog without hesitation. This robot is most likely just a mindless weapon.[1]

History

Guardian of the Death Egg Mark 2 (v3.0)

After Dr. Eggman launched his Eggdome into the sky as the new Death Egg Mark 2, Sonic the Hedgehog and Sally Acorn successfully invaded the gargantuan station. Dr. Eggman revealed to his assistants, Snively Robotnik and Lien-Da, that he had planned on them invading. He then told the two through a speaker that, in order to have an audience with him, they would have to prove that they still were a challenge. Silver Sonic v3.0 then busted through the elevator that they had taken, and Sonic began his battle with the giant robotic version of himself. The battle seemed to partly be a distraction, and Dr. Eggman then launched his new weapon on Mobius while simultaneously shooting down Sally with another weapon.[1]

When time had been reset back to normal, Sonic ignored Silver Sonic III and saved Sally before Dr. Eggman's turret killed her, while the turret fired upon the robot, heavily damaged. When Sonic and Sally confronted Dr. Eggman, a new version of Metal Sonic was released, and Silver Sonic III simultaneously burst through the wall. Both robots were destroyed when Eggman attempted to fire the World Roboticizer, which Sally and Nicole had deflected onto Sally, sacrificing herself to save Mobius.[2][3]

Battle of Feral Forest (v3.1)

Silver Sonic was rebuilt and sent to assist Mecha Sally with the capture of Elias Acorn, when Sonic confronted Sally she called Silver Sonic and he began fighting Sonic, Sonic was outmatched until T-Pup arrived and defeated Silver Sonic by using an EMP to hold him. He was then taken apart by the citizens of Feral Forest.

Return

Main article: Silver Sonic (Archie)

After Mobius was altered following the firing of the second Genesis Wave, Silver Sonic reappeared. Silver Sonic was a Badnik Horde Commander and attacked the Sky Patrol alongside his horde of Spinners until he was caught by Big and thrown into the air, where he was destroyed by one of the Sky Patrol's cannons.

Trivia

  • This version of Silver Sonic seems to look more like its Silver Sonic v2.0 variant in terms of details, but more like its Silver Sonic v1.0 variant in terms of size.
  • Silver Sonic's schematics state that he is a "Tactical Command Unit".
