Snaggle Tiger is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a young Mobian tiger who became an orphan after the rise of Dr. Eggman and was taken into the care of Rosie Woodchuck, along with Rory Bear and Sasha Cat.
Appearance[]
Snaggle is a humanoid tiger about half Sally Acorn's height. Through the comics' run, Snaggle's portrayal has been inconsistent between artists. Mostly, he is depicted with pointy ears, small bangs of hair and three toes. However, his fur is usually either bole or orange, while the fur on his muzzle and front torso is either white or wheat. He sometimes wears shorts, or just a vest and gloves. In recent depictions, he has slight buck teeth.
History[]
When Dr. Eggman came to power on Mobius, Snaggle lost his friends and parents to the doctor's robot hordes. Afterwards, he got to Knothole where he was left in the care of Rosie Woodchuck, along with Rory Bear and Sasha Cat. He came to live at Rosie's orphanage with Rory and Sashe where they at times were babysit by Mina Mongoose after she came to Knothole.[1][2] One time, Snaggle, Sasha and Rory watched a poor play about the early adventures of the Knothole Freedom Fighters.[3] Another time, while Snaggle and her friends were sick, they had Rosie tell them a story, but Snaggle did not like the ending.[4]
Later, Snaggle, Rory and Sasha attacked Monkey Khan for him rudely interrupting Mina's concert by throwing rocks at him until Sonic stopped them. While the orphans bested Sonic with their logic, Monkey Khan apologized to them, and they were scolded by Sonic when he promised to tell Rosie about their behavior. Later, when Bunnie was taken over by the Iron Queen, Snaggle, Rory and Sasha were saved by Monkey Khan and the orphans persuaded him to help Bunnie by crying.[5] They later supported Monkey Khan when he doubted himself, having forgiven him for his earlier actions before leaving with Sally.[6]
Personality[]
Snaggle is a bit of a follower and the most skittish of his trio. He is sometimes confused when Rory and Sasha's wills clash, unsure of who to follow.[7] Rather child-like, Snaggle can be somewhat precocious, but he has a good heart. Like his friends, Snaggle sometimes feels responsible for the loss of his other friends because he was too little and weak to help.[6]

- Snaggle's species was not clear in his appearances, but he was revealed as being a tiger in Sonic the Hedgehog: The Complete Sonic Comic Encyclopedia.
