Criteria
Articles are nominated for Featured Article status at Sonic News Network:Featured Article nominations and by using Template:Nominated Featured Article. Featured Articles should follow the following rules:

Spikes (スパイク Supaiku?) are sharp obstacles that appear in Sonic the Hedgehog series which are set in places where the player would not expect to see them. If the player touches the spiky points of these obstacles, it damages the player or in the worst situation, the player will lose a life by touching spikes while having no rings. However, if the playable character has Rings or shield, it only temporarily hurts the player.
