Sonic Wiki Zone:Featured Article nominations

Template:EditingPages This page is for nominating pages for Featured Article status.

To nominate a page, users must tag the page with Template:Nominated Featured Article, and create a sub-section on this page under the heading of Nominations. Users will then discuss and evaluate the page's suitability as a Featured Article. If successful, it will be listed at Sonic News Network:Featured Article and will be recognized on the Main Page! If rejected, the template must be removed from the article in question and the discussion closed.

Guidelines

Articles nominated for Featured Article status should follow these rules:

1. It must have been written primarily by Sonic News Network users. No articles copied directly from other sites, such as Wikipedia or Mobius Encyclopaedia, may be nominated.
2. It must be factually correct, with no false information, and it must have sufficient references to verify its accuracy.
3. It must be at least a few paragraphs in length.
4. If an article has already been a Featured Article, it cannot be nominated again.

Procedure

1. Every discussion must stay open for at least three weeks.
2. At least five users must participate in order for a nomination to succeed.
3. A positive consensus must be reached in order for a nomination to succeed. No vote weighs more than another.
4. Nominations must be closed by an administrator.
5. A Featured Article must stay a Featured Article for at least 30 days. If a new Featured Article is determined before the 30 days are up, then the results of the discussion will be enforced once the 30 days are over.

• Amy, your opposition makes no scene. Our wiki is supposed to cover all aspects of Sonic, including Archie comics. Are you referring to the 'It must have been written primarily by Sonic News Network users' rule? If so, this was made by blue without using the writing of another wiki. If you are going to oppose, make your reasoning about the article it's self (Also, you might want to check your grammar). SilverPlays97 (Wall) (Contributions) 14:15, March 29, 2015 (UTC)
• It does all I'm saying is that it's a page about the Archie Comics which have the Mobius Encyclopedia as a wiki all about it what I'm saying is lets focus on articles that are from series that don't have their own wikis I would say the same about a Fleetway article as well. If we are going to make an article a featured one let's give it to a page that doesn't have a wiki all about it such as Sonic Underground or the Main series. As to my grammar I do apologies but I care more about saying what I have to say then how nice it looks if it does make it a problem then I do fix it. • That doesn't change a thing it's happened and may happen again the whole point about nominating an article is to see whether or not the users think it should be featured. My point for disagreeing is why I think it shouldn't be a featured article. If their wasn't an Archie Comics wiki I wouldn't mind but their is, so I say no so that other series can get their articles featured so more people can learn about them. • I obviously can not convince you, Amy, to change your stance. I can, however, inform other users not to oppose for the same reasons as you. It makes no sense to have a bias against Archie articles just because Moubius Encyclopedia covers the same topic. All that should matter is the body-of-work of the article. • As long as you can respect my stance and the stances of others I am fine with that. As to the body-of-work for the article if it has been nominated then it is obviously well enough made that it is a quality article in the eyes of some people.
