To serve as a way to celebrate and formally recognize the contributions of Sonic Wiki Zone's most dedicated users, the featured user system places the spotlight on a veteran user each month. Featured users are among the users who have made the most revisions to Sonic Wiki Zone ever since their arrival. As voted on a poll by the viewers, a new featured user is chosen at the end of each month. The new featured user is featured on the main page with an accompanying interview consisting of a ten-question inquiry for the allotted timeframe.
Criteria
Users are chosen for the featured user poll based solely on the number of contributions they have made to Sonic Wiki Zone. To see which editors have made the most revisions to the site, see Special:Top/community and Sonic News Network:Editcount.
The featured user poll is to include only the "top" eight editors. The current featured user and the preceding three users are to be excluded from the poll to ensure that a diverse group of users are given a chance to be featured user. Users who have neglected to make significant contributions in over a month's time as well as users who have formally announced their absence are also to be excluded from the poll.

Happy New Year, Sonic News Network! We're starting off the year of 2016 with a repeat interview of one of SNN's more prolific members, BlueSpeeder. In response to yet another selection as Features User, he had this to say; "This is, like, the third time I won? I think? Regardless, I still feel happy as ever for being nominated and winning. So to those who voted for me, thanks a bunch!" And with that in mind, let's start off the New Year with a new interview!
# 1. Q) How's the new year starting off for you? How did you celebrate?
- A) It's dank (literally meaning damp and wet ;)) here so I haven't gotten outside as much to celebrate but other than that, I'm feeling pumped for what this year has in store for me.
# 2. Q) What's your New Years resolution(s) for this year, if any?
- A) To graduate high school and go to college, if that could even count.
# 3. Q) What are you most looking forward to in 2016?
- A) Anything related to mainstream Sonic or mainstream Pokemon-related video games. And, as ever, Sonic the Hedgehog comics. Can't wait to see where the road to conclusion of the Shattered World Crisis takes us.
# 4. Q) How do you think this year will pan out for Sonic?
- A) For the lack of "good" Sonic games we've experienced since (in my personal opinion) Sonic Lost World, hopefully there will be something good out of the Sonic series to have this year.
# 5. Q) Overall thoughts on 2015?
- A) It was alright. 10th anniversary of the wiki, 10,000th article, my final fall semester while in high school all happened during 2015. You could say it was decent.
# 6. Q) What's your fondest memory of 2015?
- A) Wikia-wise, it has to be when we reached 10,000 articles maybe a few days before our 10th anniversary. In real life, though, it has to be getting accepted into the college (which I won't specify, haha) I wanted.
# 7. Q) How did SNN change over the last year? How do you think it will change over the next year?
- A) I think we loss a lot of users during the year, and because of that, the wiki dwindled down in size. We got a lot quieter, and we would love new users helping out the wiki, but it takes time. But, with the amount of changes we received on the background and rules alone, I think our wiki is a lot more new-user friendly, and that's definitely for the better.
# 8. Q) Besides your resolution, what're your plans for the New Year?
- A) To get turnt. Just kidding, I'll probably just edit the wiki some more or keep up with my writing. You know, that quiet life.
# 9 Q) What's the biggest change you see in yourself compared to the start of 2015?
- A) I'm a lot more mature, I would say, then what I was at the beginning. Definitely a lot more rational than what I was, as well. At the same time, though, I'm a lot more hyperactive and social with users than what I was before.
# 10 Q) Do you see yourself on SNN come New Year 2017?
- A) Perhaps. I'll be in college by then, so my activity might not be as daily as it is now, but I'll manage to arrive every now and then.
