The two biggest powerhouses of the Sonic franchise duke it out, and this fight is... what's that? You don't think Amy Rose is a powerhouse? Then you've never been on the end of her Piko Piko Hammer, that's for sure! That thing packs a wallop! Of course, so do Knuckles' fists... and he's got two of them!
Amy and Knuckles seem almost evenly matched - both are extremely strong, and both can perform the patented Spin Attack... they're even almost the same colour! But only one of them can move on to the semi-finals. Which one will it be?

Using his Shovel Claws, Knuckles burrowed under ground then came up right under Amy. Amy dropped her Piko Piko Hammer and from there, the match was pretty settled. Knuckles is the first to make it to the top 4.

Having shockingly defeated Doctor Eggman in the previous round, Tikal now progresses to face off against another of the most powerful characters in the Sonic series: Shadow the Hedgehog. A princess against the Ultimate Lifeform? Seems like no contest, but maybe Tikal has the right stuff. Both Tikal and Shadow have faced off against Eggman and won; both have faced off against the almighty Chaos and won. Are they more evenly balanced than it seems? Shadow may be adept at Chaos Control, but Tikal has an affinity for the Master Emerald few other beings can claim and, to the Master Emerald, the Seven Chaos are merely servers...
Winner: Shadow![]
Tikals peaceful magic has gotten her through many rounds, however it just takes her way too long to spout off her little chants. Using the power of Chaos Control, Shadow gave Tikal a quick chop and she was down for the count.
Battle 3[]

At long last, an opponent that can truly test Sonic's strength and speed: himself! Or rather his evil, robotic double. Metal Sonic is Sonic's equal in every way: just as fast, just as strong, and with a razor's edge to his Spin Attack. Metal Sonic has been given many more abilities by his master, but is original, somehow, best? This tournament isn't big enough for two Sonics. Will the original speed into the lead, or will Sonic 2.0's upgrades, metal and power beat the ordinary flesh-and-blood original hedgehog?
Winner: Sonic![]
This classic fight ended the same way it does in every video game. They started with a little race. After that they had a little scuffle. Some rings were scattered, but after a good eight hits, Metal Sonic fell to pieces. Sonic the Hedgehog moves on to round 6.

Sonic's original sidekick faces up to one of the more recent additions to the franchise. Tails may have been hopelessly naive when Sonic first found him way back in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992), but he's matured a lot since then and is now the resident team flier and tech expert.
Silver joined up in the game Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). From a bleak future, he's still a little inexperienced in the hero business - and a little naive as well, as his friend Blaze once said - but maybe his psychokinetic powers will help make up for that?

Wow! What a fight! This was one of the closest and one of the most intense battles of the competition so far! After 1212 votes, the two fighters were separated by only 10 votes!
The brilliant young Tails barely defeated the psychic time traveler, Silver. After 7 straight days of fighting, Silver and Tails were both pretty warn down. Silver made the mistake of grabbing one of Tails' Dummy Rings. While confused about why it was not giving him any power, Tails delivered the finishing blow with his tail spin attack. After a hard earned victory, Tails must go on to face his best friend in round 6.

Let's compare the fighters skills with speed, power, skill, and special abilities.
Battle 1: Speed-Amy. Knuckles is one fast echidna, but Amy can make even Sonic look over his shoulder to make sure she isn't catching up to him. Power-Knuckles. Amy's hammer packs such a big punch it could send Sonic packing. Knuckles fists pack such a big punch they can send Super Sonic packing. Skill-Knuckles. Amy might be a skilled hammer slammer, but she relies on it too much, crippling her ultimate fighting ability. Not to mention that most continuites suggest Knuckles has had rigerous martial arts training to prepare him for the threats against the Master Emerald. Special Abilities-Knuckles. Knuckles actually has more special powers than you might think. With his link to the Master Emerald, he can increase his strength to earth shattering amounts with Hammerfist and use Thunderhand to shock his opponets. That seems to be more than a match for a magically appearing hammer and some tarrot cards. Result-My vote goes to Knuckles.
Battle 2: Speed-Shadow. Hedgehogs seem to always be faster than echidnas. Power-Shadow. Sheesh, if Tikal was stronger than Shadow, she could have stopped her father from raiding the Chao's home. Skill-Shadow. Come on, pacifists don't ever learn fighting skills. Top secret military weapons do, though. Special Abilities-Shadow. He's not called the Ultimate Light Show for nothing, with red Chaos Blast, yellow Chaos Spears, green SA2 Chaos Controls, and blue STH Chaos Controls, you've got yourself a chaotic rainbow of DBZ-like abilities. Tikal has a link to the Master Emerald, but it doesn't seem to give her many special powers besides sealing away Chaos and...Eggman?! Avenge the doctor Shadow! He's technically your nephew! Result-My vote to Shadow.
Battle 3: Speed-Metal Sonic. Yes, Metal Sonic's engine can go fater than Sonic, just play SA2 Battle multiplayer mode. Power-Metal Sonic. He was stonger in Sonic The Movie, and no other scources seem to contradict that. Contradict me if I'm wrong. Skill-Sonic. Even though Metal Sonic is faster, he has much more trouble controlling the tremendous speed than Sonic, leading to trouble stopping. Sonic just seems to be a more skilled fighter, seeing how he's able to creatively think out his way of winning a fight against the metal faker. Special Abilities-Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic can do almost everything Sonic can do, and more with all of Eggman's upgrades. Result-As usual, Metal Sonic seems to be dominant in almost everything compared to Sonic, but how has Sonic won all of the battles with him before? Skill. The two are so evenly matched, it comes down to bare fighting skill, which Sonic has more than enough of. My vote to Sonic.
Battle 4: Speed-Tails. I don't care what anyone says, Tails is one of the gifted runners and Silver one of the slowest runners in the entire series. I've been through enough Silver levels in Sonic 06 to figure that one out. Power-Draw.No scources have confirmed that Silver can lift anything heavy without his psycokinesis, but I'm pretty sure he's a strong hedgehog. Although, it's close. Tail'stwin tails are muscular enough to lift his own body weight along with Sonic's weight and Knuckles',a grand total of 209 pounds. But hey, if Silver's involved, let's throw the laws of physics out the window right now...let's call it a draw. Skill-Tails. It takes alot of skill to be a mechanical genius, and alot of skill to be a pilot while Sonic is standing on the wings. No barrel rolls for you. On the other hand, it does NOT take alot of skill to glitch your flying ability and smash stuff with boxes, which is what most Silver levels consist of. Special Albility-Tails. Both are very fortunate to have alot of special abilities, many even called "unfair skills". It really comes down to personal prefrence. I see Silver's psycokinesis as an incompleted game mechanic that was never perfected, even in games after Sonic 06. Tails' flight, swimming, and mechanical genius just seem to be more useful and reliable when fighting Dr.Robotnik. Result-I think Silver's pscokinetic powers are really cool, even if they do glitch up sometimes. And those powers could probobly help him win a normal fight. But this isn't a normal fight, this is a Sonic Character fight, and speed is the way to win this one. My vote goes to Tails.

Maybe she should reappear in a game. But it's hard to think about a logical story to bring her back, without bringer her back, just to bring her back. Ow well ...

I wish you'd stop thinking about this contest as a match of who is the strongest. It's a match-up of who you like better. A popularity contest. Or maybe more canon if that's your thing. And what do you know. Look who are in the semi-finals. All video game characters. Was there ever any doubt?
Response: What? That was the point of this tournment. Well at first. The ad even said that these were supposed to be fights. This was a contest of who was the stronger fighter, meaning the better character, and rate them. So I'm supposed to believe Amy can actually defeat Mephiles alone, Mephiles, who defeated Shadow, Rouge, and Omega, at the same time, someone who manged to kill Sonic, without making a sound. Blaze can beat Mamoth Mugal? Someone that took the combined might of Super Sonic, Super Shadow, Chaos Knuckles, Turbo Tails, and the guardians, just to stall him. There are so many mismatches, it's insane. Even Mighty lost, and not only is he super fast and super strong, and vicious when angered, he was a seriously requested Sonic character to come back, possibly number #1. Instead, he's Shadow now. That's not a real replacement cause there attitudes are way too different.

- Knuckles the Echidna. Amy's gone pretty far with her hammer, but looks like she'll have to play whack-a-mole with the guardian of the Master Emerald, which is not an easy task, considering he can knock out Super Sonic.
- Shadow the Hedgehog. One Chaos Blast should ust be enough to knock out this over-achieving echidna.
- Sonic the Hedgehog. Here, "I found you, faker!" makes more sense.
- Miles "Tails" Prower. Even though both characters debuted in difficult games, at least the one Tails debuted in (Sonic 2 for the Game Gear & Master System) was more enjoyable. FDMG.

Battle 1--Knuckles. That hammer is pretty powerful, but I bet Knuckles could easily dodge it, or even wrench it out of Amy's grasp.
Battle 2--Shadow. If Tikal traps him in the Master Emerald like the other people who went up against her, he can just Chaos Control himself out and kick some echdna butt.
Battle 3--This one's a toughie. Metal can do everything Sonic can do, and more, but Sonic has beaten Metal before (though I still haven't figured out how), he'll be able to do it again... probably. So, Sonic.
Battle 4--My two favorite characters are fighting! Which one do I pick?! Well, probably Tails. I think his brain will be able to beat Silver's brawn... most likely.

Here's who I think would win:
- Knuckles - Clearly the stronger of the two, also Amy has little fighting ability.
- Shadow - Ultimate Lifeform vs. Pacifistic Echidna, Shadow wouldn't hesitate to hurt anyone (there might two exceptions) whilst Tikal would. Funny, these two make an odd fancouple.
- Sonic - We've seen this battle three kind of five times and Sonic has always been the victor.
- Silver - In Sonic '06, Sonic was unable beat Silver and I think Sonic is stronger than Tails.

Shadow. He is way more powerful.
Metal Sonic. IDK, I guess it's just that he's a robot. Robots are powerfull.
Tails. My fave. But I'm not pickin' favorites. Tails and Silver can both fly, but... Okay, maybe a bit of faves, but I'm givin' support.

You know guys, we all know Sonic will win. I think we shouldn't vote for Sonic just because we know he's the most popular and it would be more worth while to see who is the second most popular. --TheWarGame
1. Battle 1: Knuckles - stronger and more awesome, it was an easy choice.
2. Battle 2: Shadow the hedgehog - Ultimate lifeform. I'm actually surprised how far Tikal made it.
3. Battle 3: Sonic the hedgehog - Need I say more?
4: Battle 4: Silver the hedgehog- in these +30 weeks (over half a year) this has been the closest battle, and as time runs down it's still impossible to tell who's gonna win. Silver is my favorite character (especially in the comic) so I really hope he wins this.
