Sonic R is an album for the vocal songs from the video game of the same name, that was released on 21 January 1998. All tracks in the album is composed by Richard Jacques and sung by Teresa Jane Davis. There are also small music samples from the game and even two mixes featured at the end of album. It was available for ¥2310 and has been labeled by Marvelous Entertainment Inc. In June 2014, Sega has announced a re-release of the album on Amazon and iTunes as a digital download with six exclusive tracks[1], however this version features a slightly different track ordering, and does not include the two remixed tracks featured on the original CD version.

  • The cover shows Sonic's redesign, rather than his "classic" form we see in the game. It should also be noted that this was released almost a year before Sonic Adventure, when the redesign first appears in-game.
