Sonic Specials were individual 48-page Sonic comics that were released be Archie Comics every couple months for two years between Decembers of 1994 and 1996.

DescriptionEdit

The stories would be in continuity with the main series, but would mostly focus on intertwining their stories with specific video games being released at the time. Sonic Specials were replaced by the Sonic Super Specials in May of 1997 starting with Sonic Super Special Issue 1 Battle Royal.

There are eight total Sonic Specials, the last one being Sonic Blast. The following special was Sonic Super Special Issue 1 Battle Royal which they decided to make the first of the Sonic Super Special Series.

TriviaEdit

Most of the special issues had Knuckles in them because he was the popular new character at the time.
