This museum has two entrances, the entrance with Sonic's face above the door is part of the museum with information and pictures on Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and the rest of their friends. The entrance with Dr. Robotnik's face is about himself and his robots.

Sonic the Hedgehog CD Opening and Ending - These sequences come in fully remastered versions, and instead of their Spencer Nilsen tracks from the US version, they use their original Japanese music tracks, "Sonic: You Can Do Anything" and "Believe in Yourself/Cosmic Eternity" respectively.
Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Trailer - A trailer promoting Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie.
Unfinished Cartoon - An animated short in the Western style, which was possibly made internally by Sega itself, but was never finished. In this short, Dr. Eggman wakes up one morning, only to be angered when a newspaper headline and a TV newscast name Sonic the "Man of the Year." A voodoo doll of Sonic gives Eggman an idea: he decides to disguise himself as Sonic and create chaos throughout the city in order to destroy the hedgehog's popularity, so that he ends up being named "Worst of the Year." Set to "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg.
Japanese TV Commercials - Presented as they originally appeared, without even being subtitled for the European or American editions of the game. Sega representatives from the time once said that if domestic commercials were used, the original actors for those would have had to be paid royalties.
- Sonic the Hedgehog Commercial - Portrays a Claymation model of Sonic dancing in the back of a parade car, cruising a city at nighttime.
- SegaSonic the Hedgehog Commercial - Sonic is portrayed in various animation sequences navigating various obstacles, and doing such things as piloting a spaceship into the Death Egg. The hedgehog ends the commercial saying what translates as "I'll be waitin' for you on the Mega Drive/Genesis."
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Commercial - Utilizes a traditionally-drawn, cel-shaded animation sequence portraying Sonic and Tails running through the Emerald Hill and Chemical Plant Zones. The narrator gives a tagline, "Welcome to Sonic Land!"
- Sonic 2 Quiz Commercial - This commercial is for a contest to see whether viewers can figure out what the name of the character accompanying Sonic in the animation is. If the viewer can supply the correct answer of "Tails," they will get the chance to receive special prizes.
- Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Commercial - A random streetmonger is shocked when the illustration of Sonic on the game's boxart comes to life and, calling out "Hey, c'mon!", sends him speeding through random real-life locations that resemble the zones in the game.
- Sonic Spinball Commercial - A commercial blending gameplay footage with CG animation; the narrator states that the player can be treated to some "funky action" with the game.
- Sonic CD Commercial - An animation sequence using CG models of Sonic and his metallic doppelganger, who are portrayed engaging in battle against one another. Set to portions of "Sonic: You Can Do Anything."
- Sonic & Tails Commercial - Advertises the Game Gear title known as Sonic Chaos in the West.
- Sonic & Tails 2 Commercial - What Westerners know as Sonic Triple Trouble is billed in this Japanese commercial as the latest entry in the so-called "GG Collection."
- Sonic Drift Commercial - This Game Gear racing game is advertised with animation of Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Eggman engaging in a car race.

By jumping on a big red and white button near the exit of Sonic World, you can play missions. Once a mission is accomplished, you can play the one afterwards.

Once all the challenges are met, a Giant Ring will appear which will present Sonic Jam credits.
- According to the Sonic City website, Sonic World is a test level for what eventually became Sonic Adventure.
- The same 3D models for Sonic and Tails were used again in Sonic R.
- The music for Sonic World was used again in the Sonic Classic Collection, which has the same games as Sonic Jam (except Blue Sphere) but for the Nintendo DS. This collection does not have Sonic World. The music used when inside one of the exhibits was eventually remixed for the Sonic Generations library features (the theme itself is a slowed-down remix of the "File Select" theme from Sonic the Hedgehog 3).
- There is a glitch that can take Sonic out of bounds.
- This is only the second time Sonic appears in 3D. The first time Sonic (and Dr. Eggman) have appeared in 3D was in the Christmas Nights into Dreams. One of the unlockable "presents" in the game was Sonic the Hedgehog into Dreams, where the Christmas version of Spring Valley can be played with Sonic. It is similar to playing as Claris and Elliot on foot without NiGHTS. As there is no time limit or fear of the Alarm Egg, the player is granted complete exploration of the stage. The goal of collecting Chips and destroying the Ideya Capture is similar, except Sonic is only able to run on foot and jump. The boss battle involves fighting against arch-nemesis Dr. Eggman, although the battle is exactly like that of Puffy, with the boss re-skinned to appear like Eggman. The boss stage appears the same, and the music is an extended mix of the final boss theme in Sonic the Hedgehog CD.
