Sonic the Hedgehog - "Power of the Chaos Emeralds, Part 1"

Synopsis

Doctor Robotnik is imprisoned in Sonic's Secret Underground Base following his capture by Sonic and Tails. It's Porker Lewis' turn to question Robotnik about his latest generation of Badniks, but the hapless pig is thoroughly intimidated by the evil dictator.

Suddenly, the ground shakes, and Knuckles the Echidna bursts up through the floor to rescue Robotnik, still believing Sonic to be the true villain. Sonic rushes to find out what's going on, only to find that Robotnik has taken Porker as a hostage. Robotnik demands to be given the Chaos Emeralds, and despite Porker's attempts to play the hero, Sonic has them brought out in their special refrigerated box.

Before leaving, Robotnik reveals that Knuckles was able to locate Sonic's base by means of a homing device in Robotnik's tooth and an implant in Knuckles' skull. They manage to fly off in an egg-shaped escape pod, with Sonic and Tails pursuing in the Tornado. Inside, Robotnik glorifies in having finally acquired the Emeralds, but quickly changes his tune and assures Knuckles that he'll let them stay on the Floating Island. Sonic strikes the pod from outside with a Spin Attack and it crashes back on the Floating Island. But when Sonic goes to investigate, Knuckles smashes out of it. Sonic's got in his way for the last time!

Mutant League - "Bring Me The Head of Coach Brikka, Part 5"

  • Script: Steve White / Brian Williamson
  • Art: Anthony Williams / Brian Williamson
  • Lettering: Tom Frame

Zalgor Prigg has Coach Brikka's head, but betrays K.T. by admitting he wants to marry Brenda Brikka herself instead of letting K.T. marry her. K.T. briefly teams up with Bones Jackson and the Midway Monsters, and they infiltrate Prigg's impregnable fortress by kicking Grim's head at the door. K.T. storms through, snatching the head and Prigg's chief scientist. The Midway Monsters also escape. K.T. challenges them to a singe winner-takes-all game for the head, the championship, and Brenda's hand in marriage. But, of course, K.T. plans to cheat by using Prigg's robot players.

Trivia

  • Zalgor Prigg's robot guards were apparently sent to the Imperial Stormtrooper Gunnery School.

Tails - "Zonerunner & The Flock, Part 1"

Synopsis

Sonic and Tails launch a raid on the Chemical Plant Zone, destroying one of Robotnik's factories. They are chased by two of Robotnik's lackeys (later identified as Sol Furic and Tess Tube), and dive into a transport tube. However, a stray bullet hits the tube controls and they are separated.

Tails finds himself in a secret room, where the robot Nutzan Bolt informs Robotnik of his intention to flood the surrounding zones with the toxic chemical Mega Mack. When a confused Tails asks where Sonic has gone, Nutzan Bolt throws a fit that he used "the 'S' word!" He looms over the helpless Tails...

Decap Attack - "Who Killed Chuck? Part 2"

  • Script: Nigel Kitching
  • Art: Nigel Kitching
  • Lettering: Steve Potter

Detective Case claims he is looking for a missing person, a double-glazing salesman, and that the Professor's castle is the last house visited before his disappearance. Untying Chuck, Prof takes his associates aside and demands to know which one of them killed the double-glazing salesman. Chuck and Head immediately deny the accusation... leaving Igor.

Igor admits he may have been involved. The Professor had demanded a fresh corpse, but it was raining and Igor didn't want to go grave-digging. So, when the salesman came by, Igor invited him in, then bashed his head with a shovel.

Chuck realises that the Professor wanted the corpse so that he could create life... by resurrecting Chuck! Igor was Chuck's murderer!
