Sonic the Hedgehog 25th Anniversary Art Book is an upcoming hardcover art book that will be published by Cook & Becker. This book showcases the visual history of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, containing design sketches, official illustrations, in-game and pixel art, promotional art and box art. The book will also contain never-before-seen artwork,[2] and features interviews of key designers and artists who has worked on the series, including Yuji Naka, Takashi Iizuka, Kazuyuki Hoshino and Yuji Uekawa.

The book was originally set to be released in April 2017, but was delayed to May 2017 as the book did not meet quality standards.[1] Separate Standard Editions and a special Collector’s Edition will be available during the release.[3]

  • The last piece of Sonic the Hedgehog media that Cook & Becker contributed to before this book was an official limited edition of the pixel art print drawn by artist Paul Veer.
