Sonic the Hedgehog and the Silicon Warriors is a paperback book written by James Wallis under the pseudonym "Martin Adams" and was published in the UK in 1993. Its story is based on the Kintobor origin story laid out in Stay Sonic (which in turn is based on Sega of America's Sonic Bible).

Blurb[]

Sonic's pals — even that feisty fox Tails — have been sucked inside computers, and infected with a disintegrator virus. Yes, that egg-crazy weirdo Doctor Robotnik is up to his evil tricks again.
And when Sonic speeds to the rescue, he comes face to face with the most ultra-mean of badniks from his favorite computer games!

The Sonic Story So Far[]

In the past, Mobius was a peaceful world, with Green Hill Zone being the most peaceful and pleasant place on the entire planet. Mobius's inhabitants are talking animals, the most notable of which being a hedgehog named Sonic, who would be the one to encounter the one Human living on Mobius: the kind Dr. Ovi Kintobor. Kintobor was perfecting a device known as the Retro-Orbital Chaos Compressor in order to attract the evil of Mobius and contain it within six emeralds known as the Chaos Emeralds, though he did find the time to help boost Sonic's already impressive speed, making him a special pair of red trainers that allowed him to exceed the speed of sound (turning him blue in the process).

As Sonic searched Mobius for the elusive Grey Emerald that was needed to neutralize the evil contained in the Chaos Emeralds, Kintobor's absent-mindedness would get the better of him causing him to enter faulty data into the ROCC. This caused the machine to explode, releasing the Emeralds and transforming Kintobor into the opposite of himself: the evil Dr. Ivo Robotnik. His influence quickly enveloped the planet, turning lush landscapes into polluted wastelands and sending out numerous robots to capture the local animals, with Sonic (being the only one capable of stopping him), being a top priority. Fortunately, Sonic has successfully defeated Robotnik at least twice prior to the events of this book, but the doctor has proven resilient, and is already back with another evil scheme.

Enter[]

Near the remains of the Wing Fortress and in a heavy hurricane, Robotnik tests his new control box invention, which, when used, creates a small dot of RGB light that grows into a physical representation of a computer program, using a Ken Masters-like character from Road Warrior 2: Champions Only. The Ken-alike attacks him with an uppercut, knocking Robotnik down and forcing him to use the control box to remove it. He comes to the conclusion to make adjustments, including waterproofing the projections.
