The Spider Bomb is a character that appears in the Sonic Boom television series. It is a mass-produced model of spider-like robots created by Dr. Eggman for an absurd plot, but they were stopped by Team Sonic.

History

TV series

Season one

Explode-o-nut creation

A Spider Bomb infesting a coconut.

Multiple Spider Bombs were summoned by Dr. Eggman to turn every coconut on Seaside Island into "deadly Explode-o-nuts." However, Team Sonic discovered this plot, though confused at its absurdity, and returned the Spider Bomb-infested coconuts Eggman used against them as they exploded. Some Spider Bomb-infested coconuts remained though, one of which dropped in on Eggman and blew up his recently-bought comic.[1]

Powers and abilities

Each Spider Bomb is capable of self-detonation. Though Eggman claims the force of their detonation is lethal, their explosions can at most give a person several bruises. They are also equipped with drills that they can use to drill through coconut shells.[1]

Trivia

  • According to Amy, the Spider Bombs are a subliminal cry for help on Eggman's behalf.[1]
