Spinning Wheels are obstacles which make appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and make yet another appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog 4. These blue and yellow colored wheels are half hidden and half visible. By making it rotating fast, it then functions movable blocks, gates and doors near close of the object, thus making easy for the player to progress in the zone.

DescriptionEdit

In Sonic the Hedgehog 3, these objects can be found at Marble Garden Zone order to use blue and yellow colored gimmicks, the player must perform the Spin Dash whilst making contact with the object. Doing so causes doors to unlock or platforms to rise from the ground, allowing the player to progress further.

Making reappearance at Sylvania Castle Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 4, spinning wheels are serving the same function as objects did in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, as by performing the Spin Dash at the left side of the object. Spinning wheels are mostly serving to open rocky doors in the game.

• In Sonic 3, should the player jump on top of this obstacle and then spin dash on it, the character will be thrown backwards into the air, still in spin dash position.
