Splorg looks like a floating spectated red blob resembling a red blood cell with two arms and slight buckteeth. He wears white gloves and a pair of glasses with sky blue frames.
When Splorg was following Prince Charnock home to Rhombus in their spaceship from the prince's vacation to have Charnock crowned king of Rhombus in just two hours, or Charnock's two-year old brother would become king and destroy Mobius out of youthful ignorance, their ship was caught in Robotnik's new Electro-Suction Plate. The two of them crash-landed on Mobius, leaving their ship shattered to pieces, and they were caught by Scratch and Grounder. However, Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails rescued them and helped them locate the missing pieces of their ship. However, after Sonic found most and Splorg put them back together, they discovered the ship's two most important pieces were missing - the cockpit's pressurizing canopy and the naviagational nose-cone.
The four headed off to find them, quickly finding the cockpit canopy while Splorg tried to keep Charnock focused. During a landslide, the heroes and the robots accidentally mix up the ship's nose-cone for Grounder's nose. Sonic defeated Scratch and Grounder, but soon discovered Robotnik had Splorg, Tails and Charnock prisoner. Sonic gave himself up to save his friends and Mobius, and the aliens got their nose-cone back. Splorg was then ready to get back to the ship, but Charnock insisted on saving Sonic first, much to Splorg's dismay. Once Charnock saved Sonic and defeated Robotnik, the four raced back to the spaceship and Splorg and Charnock headed off to the coronation, though not before Charnock revealed to Sonic and Tails of how old his baby brother really was and why he would destroy the planet.
Splorg is smart, pompous, uptight and arrogant. While not of evil intent, he can be so dutiful for the greater good that he is willing to forget about others' well-being as he was perfectly content with leaving Sonic in Robotnik's clutches once they got the final piece for their spaceship.
