The Staircase of Terrifying Slipperiness is a location that appears in the Sonic Boom television series. It is a cliff side within the Lands of the Doomed that Knuckles the Echidna imagined during a chili pepper-induced dream, which is infamous for how difficult it is to scale.
The Staircase of Terrifying Slipperiness is a formation of differently-sized rock platforms on a cliff side which form a natural staircase. However, its platforms are incredibly smooth and slippery, hence its name, meaning people cannot climb more than a few platforms before losing their footing and falling back down.
During a dream, Knuckles the Echidna came to the Staircase of Terrifying Slipperiness on his way to the Lost Pepper of Claggerhorn. When he could not scale the staircase on foot, he resorted to using his hand spikes to gain a solid footing and climb it.
