Stara is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. She is an anthropomorphic starfish and resident of the underwater Zone of Trituna.

Stara was one of the Trituna warriors sent to the Beanson Coast Zone by Sharka Khan to fight Sonic the Hedgehog. She gained the ability to breathe on dry land from a serum developed by Doctor Robotnik and given to Sharka Khan by Agent X. After Sonic defeated Eelton John, Stara managed to grab hold of the hedgehog while Jaws Michael got ready to finish him off. However, Sonic broke free of her grasp and threw her into Jaws Michael, knocking them both out of the fight.[1]

Once Sonic had defeated the other members of Stara's team, she and the other marine creatures started to become dizzy. Stara realised that Agent X's serum was starting to wear off, and the team returned to the sea. Sonic followed them in a special diving suit designed by Tekno the Canary. Stara and the other fighters tried to fight Sonic again, but were quickly defeated and Sonic went to find Sharka Khan. When they recovered, they tried to protect Sharka Khan from Sonic, only to find out that Sharka Khan was attempting to escape while his people took all the hassle. Stara then led her team mates to oust Sharka Khan and they subsequently decided to rule Trituna themselves.[2]
