Stephen Squealbird is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He was a disguise worn by Doctor Ivo Robotnik, which took the form of a large anthropomorphic bird and movie director.
As part of a scheme to lure the Freedom Fighters into a trap, he announced in Mobius Moviestar's Magazine that he planned to make a film about Sonic the Hedgehog and that he would be auditioning people to play Sonic, knowing that Sonic himself would show up out of vanity. He operated out of a derelict building with the words "Squealbird Studios" printed on it.
When the Freedom Fighters arrived at the building, they were all deceived by the Squealbird disguise, apart from Tails, who went to investigate further and was captured by Troopers. The others (Sonic, Amy Rose and Johnny Lightfoot) were successfully led into Robotnik's latest trap and doused with the substance known as Mega-Glue, which hardens in seconds. Squealbird revealed his true identity as Robotnik, however he was subsequently defeated when Sonic stretched the Mega-Glue in the moments before it hardened, forcing Robotnik to free them all with the antidote.
