Outside of Sonic, Broadie is best known for voicing Michael Reynolds in Illbleed and several characters in Frogger: The Great Quest. After his death, the game sleeves of Frogger: The Great Quest have a dedication to him.

Steve Broadie died of natural causes in Los Angeles, CA, on July 19, 2001, shortly after the release of Sonic Adventure 2.
