Super Armor Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog #251

Super Armor Mega Man,[1] or just Super Mega Man, is a transformation that appears in Worlds Collide and Worlds Unite. It is the Super-State of Mega Man, achieved by harnessing the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds. He first assumed this form to fight Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily's Egg-Wily Machine X, and later to battle Sigma-3, both times alongside Super Sonic.

As Super Armor Mega Man, Mega Man physically looks like how he does when wearing the Super Adaptor; his eyes notably retain their normal, blue color. Instead however, his armor have changed to a golden yellow and white color scheme.

Worlds Collide

After being freed from captivity by Dr. Light, Mega Man used his Super Adaptor for the final battle. Sonic, inspired by the fact that this ability was known as the "Super" Adapter, suggested that Mega Man take it one step further, and both of them then drew upon the power of the Chaos Emeralds. Teaming up with Super Sonic, he battled Dr. Wily and Dr. Eggman in their Egg-Wily Machine X, defeating them with a Sonic Shot combo and using the power of Chaos Control granted by his transformation to restore Earth in the year 20XX to normal.[2]

MM 52 Sigma down for the count

Mega Man would later take this form again in order to help Super Sonic battle Sigma-3. Although they defeated him, they were ultimately unable to fix the damage Sigma had done to the fabric of reality. Luckily, Xander Payne prevented the cataclysm from happening via time paradox. Mega Man thus found himself back home as if nothing had ever happened.[3]

Powers and abilities

Super Armor Mega Man and Super Sonic's Sonic Shot, from Sonic the Hedgehog #251.

As Super Armor Mega Man, all of Mega Man's innate talents are vastly increased, giving him highly increased strength, speed and reflexes. In addition, he has gained the power of flight and is invulnerable to virtually any harm. Mega Man also possessed enhanced versions of the abilities he possessed either with the Super Adapter or as Mega Man in his usual form, including his Mega Buster which can now fire energy blasts possessing power equaling that of a sun, which is enough to blow up planets. He can also join forces with Super Sonic to fire an even more powerful blast in the form of a super-powered Sonic Shot.

Alongside his enhanced powers, Super Armor Mega Man is able to manipulate Chaos energy into a variety of forms, such as Chaos Control which allows him to bend the fabric of time and space of an entire Multiverse to his will.

  • This form is similar to Excalibur Sonic in that only the armor has been changed physically and not the person.
  • Super Armor Mega Man is the first super form achieved by a character not from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise or its spin-offs.
  • Super Armor Mega Man is the only non-Sonic character to use Chaos Control.
