Name[]

Whilst the track/level is called "Babylon Guardian", the big guy himself is only ever called "Guardian". Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-f0MZDDfIww&t=30m48s (30m 48s) "Beat the Guardian"

The Japanese guide book calls him 守護兵 (Shugo-hei), which translates to "Guardian". Image: https://i.imgur.com/g548sFN.jpg

The name "Angelus the Gatekeeper" is completely unsourced, and appears to be an unofficial fan name. --IndigoPengi (talk) 23:30, March 17, 2018 (UTC)

Does it not say it in the Japanese version of the game either? 'Cause if not, then we have proof that this name is untrue.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 13:13, March 18, 2018 (UTC)
Looking at Youtube videos of the Japanese version, "Angelus the Gatekeeper" certainly isn't used during the encounter with him in the story mode. It looks to be completely made up. I'm going to remove it, until and unless we get a source. Maybe we should rename this page to just "Guardian" too? --IndigoPengi (talk) 14:14, March 18, 2018 (UTC)
As a nod to this mistake, perhaps it should be written in the trivia that no source given in guidebooks or games mention Angelus as a name despite its popular status.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 14:25, March 18, 2018 (UTC)
I don't think it's widespread enough to be worth mentioning in that context. The last thing we want to do is legitimize Sonic News Network's poor fact checking. It might be worth mentioning in the trivia of the Archie Comics version, since that actually slipped through. --IndigoPengi (talk) 14:30, March 18, 2018 (UTC)
That seems fair enough.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 14:31, March 18, 2018 (UTC)
