Origin[]
The Comics seem to contradict what is plotted in Sonic X about Emerl. In A Wild Win", Eggman said himself that "it is an ancient combat robot that can acquire its oponents' abilities. By giving it tremendous energy from the Chaos Emerald, it is only natural that this would happen". While in Sonic X Issue 10, it is established that he is created by Gerald Robotnik, making it very confusing about his origin if he is an ancient robot, or created by Robotnik (which is unlikely). Any thoughts to solve this? Because I'll take an action from myself if there is no opposition, and move the comics' origin of him to Trivia. Luma.dash (talk) 11:46, July 29, 2016 (UTC)
- That is what the "Anime" and "Archie Comics" sections of the Sonic X's History section is for. Reserve the history section for the media exclusive origins. See Chaos Emerald (Sonic X) for an example.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 11:51, July 29, 2016 (UTC)
- But I thought that the Anime and Sonic X comics take place in the same continuity? Luma.dash (talk) 11:54, July 29, 2016 (UTC)
- They do, but it is impossible for them to perfectly align, as no television show is made for a comic. It is typical television-to-comic differences. This way, you acknowledge that it is in the same continuity while still preserving the individual variations.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 12:00, July 29, 2016 (UTC)
