Gender Unconfirmed

wait, how do we know what Infinite's gender is? was it confirmed already?

Aaron Webber uses male pronouns when referring to Infinite. SonicSolSnake (talk) 20:34, July 24, 2017 (UTC)

Actually, we haven't. Good call.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 17:41, June 14, 2017 (UTC)
I'd say it's because of Infinite's maculine physique but we can generalise it for now. DeCool99 (talk) 17:45, June 14, 2017 (UTC)

(I dont know how talk works HAHA)

i think we should refer to infinite as they or it for now. it would be pretty cool if their gender was also up to the player to reflect the new custom character.

0x42px mop My talk! 0x42px  20:45, June 14, 2017 (UTC)

I am pretty sure Infinite is a predetermined character. I mean, they just ooze evil, and all that evil just screams decisive characterization.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 20:49, June 14, 2017 (UTC)
That would be a bit overreacting to me. It never worked well for any series I watched that used this method.--Luma.dash (talk) 20:55, June 14, 2017 (UTC)
The staff use male-pronouns and he's voiced by a guy using a decisivly masculine voice in the newest trailer where he actually speaks, so I think it's safe to say he's a dude.
Shoboni (talk) 23:10, July 31, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, we know. This was sorted out already DeCool99 (talk) 23:26, July 31, 2017 (UTC)

Hedgehog-shaped?

Well, this villain looks nothing like a hedgehog. Not ever the ears of that creature would do so. I would have to guess that this villain would be Echidna with mechanic helmet that had mouse-like ears on it.
And for the shape, I would referring use "resembled to the hedgehog" or "identity to" instead of "hedgehog-shaped". Otherwise, I have been repeatedly fall into believe that Infinite is a Hedgehog by default, like Knuckles had been fall for Eggman's foolish tricks. FredCat 20:10, June 15, 2017 (UTC)

It would be pretty awesome if this character is an Echidna. It might pose an opportunity to open up a whole new storyline for any possible sequels- especially if the Avatar has some kind of connection to Infinite. And Knuckles would probably have a more prominent role than in previous games. Maybe not a playable character, but at least a bigger role. But enough of that. My question is, should this page even be up yet? I mean, there's hardly any information and that kind of bugs me. Julia-Xe Dax Finitevus the Echidna (talk)

Chronicles and other circumstances made sure no more echidnas would be making any appearance in the games. That's just the way it is. And I understand your concern but there are a lot more pages on the wiki that have even less of information about them. Why should Infinite be any different? We know enough about him to make a decent enough looking page so I'd say it's fine staying up. DeCool99 (talk) 18:36, July 3, 2017 (UTC)
Okay, sorry. I was just asking. Thank you for letting me know. Julia-Xe Dax Finitevus the Echidna (talk)

Is there any Echidna that have a long tail like Infinite? He would be the first if he's an Echidna I believe.
SonicSolSnake (talk) 20:40, July 24, 2017 (UTC)

Turned out that his tail looked like wolf than hedgehog or echidna, so it's impossible to be "Echidna". And it seemed like he is based on Avatar/Custom Hero appearance, see that Eggman created him... FredCat 14:42, September 15, 2017 (UTC)

Same Name

During the drafts, Infinite was originally called "Zero". A name shared with a E-100 series robot who debuted in Sonic Adventure. Are there any characters on SNN that have similar names? SonicSolSnake (talk) 20:00, July 24, 2017 (UTC)

Zero, ZERO (Sonic X), E-100 Alpha (Archie) (also known as "ZERO (Archie)"), E-100 Alpha (Pre-Super Genesis Wave). It is not an uncommon name here.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 20:45, July 24, 2017 (UTC)

So there are no characters that share the same name in the same game continuity and the characters are not the same version existing in different universes? SonicSolSnake (talk) 20:58, July 24, 2017 (UTC)

Only in the comics I guess.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 11:27, July 28, 2017 (UTC)

Eggman's creation?

I would say that it is confirmed by now that he is created by Eggman, considering he basically says that "My ultimate weapon is complete!". Which signifies that he has been working on Infinite for a while. MenInBlak (talk) 14:14, September 15, 2017 (UTC)

Indeed, with all his hatred stuffed in Infinite, see how Infinite easily shoved Sonic's face in the ground and forced him to eat the dirt. FredCat 14:42, September 15, 2017 (UTC)
Unless stated in the context of Infinite, such a statement would be based on your own assumptions.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 15:10, September 15, 2017 (UTC)
It wouldn't be my own assumption considering Eggman states that it's his own ultimate weapon though... MenInBlak (talk) 15:25, September 15, 2017 (UTC)
Eggman creates robots and mechs. Care to enlighten us on whether Eggman created Infinite as a whole or just kidnapped some civillian and empowered him? DeCool99 (talk) 15:34, September 15, 2017 (UTC)
Infinite's tail confirmed that he would be one of those animals (or Mobian, if I must). Kindly like Mewtwo from "Pokemon Movie".
Now speaking of that movie, it would be possible that Eggman cloned one of Avatar people to empower his own creation from ground-up. But that could be jossed though. FredCat 15:56, September 15, 2017 (UTC)
This whole speculation thing based on a single video with Eggman ranting is exactly my point as to why nothing should be added.DeCool99 (talk) 16:05, September 15, 2017 (UTC)
End of discussion. MenInBlak (talk) 16:06, September 15, 2017 (UTC)

How tragic will Infinite be?

So at first, when Infinite was revealed, i instantly thought that he would be an overly evil villain like Mephiles and Black Doom, but the more information about him we get, i feel as if he is gonna be more tragic. What do you think? MenInBlak (talk) 16:53, October 13, 2017 (UTC)

Well, Sonic Forces is the new darkest Sonic game since Sonic Adventure 2. So basically, I can agree with ya that Infinite can be in that way. FredCat 19:27, October 13, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah. He seems more and more human... in the conventional sense that is.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 19:28, October 13, 2017 (UTC)
His boss battle looks pretty cool, so far, though, he seems less of a tragic villain in the boss battle, and more of a power-hungry one, i don't know if anyone else feels like that. MenInBlak (talk) 19:19, October 18, 2017 (UTC)
He seemed more unstable than power-hungry if you ask me.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 19:22, October 18, 2017 (UTC)
Without spoiling too much, I can say that Infinite doesn't seem tragic at all in the newly released gameplay leaks, but quite the opposite... MenInBlak (talk) 09:52, October 28, 2017 (UTC)

Chest gem

Would it be fair to say that the gem on Infinite's chest bears some similarities to the Phantom Ruby? Myself 123 17:19, October 20, 2017 (UTC)

That would be fair.Ultrasonic9000 (talk) 17:24, October 20, 2017 (UTC)

How do we know it's a finalized Phantom Ruby prototype? Where was it stated what gem is on Infinite's chest?SonicSolSnake (talk) 21:44, November 8, 2017 (UTC)

Unlike the one that the Rookie used which was shattered after used, Infinite's Phantom Ruby didn't shattered after multiple uses, so it's confirmed that the one on his chest is real Phantom Ruby. While the rest of Phantom Ruby are known as "Phantom Ruby Prototype" that Eggman created/cloned. Just a thought. FredCat 22:40, November 8, 2017 (UTC)
After hacking Eggman's files, Tails confirms that Eggman experimented with prototypes based on the original, before incorporating the final version into Infinite. 愛 日音 (talk) 22:47, November 8, 2017 (UTC)

Japanese voice

http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/video-games/Sonic-Forces/Infinite/ Apparently Takashi Kondou is the confirmed Japanese voice for Infinite; thank goodness it's a popular anime seiyuu lol SneaselSawashiro (talk) 05:07, November 7, 2017 (UTC)

Ending *Spoilers*

So, I don’t understand what happened at the end of the game. Infinite said he could still fight, and he flew off. Is there a last story with Super Sonic? Diamonddeath (talk) 09:52, November 9, 2017 (UTC)

Didn't happening - as we don't see Chaos Emeralds at all. So with Death Egg Ships destroyed, which contained the Phantom Ruby, I supposed that it's Infinite's death immediately (off-screen, so we don't see what happened to him). The Resistance are holding his army off while Sonic/Classic Sonic/Rookie went for Death Egg Ship. FredCat 11:21, November 9, 2017 (UTC)

Gosh darn fricking bullies

What the frick kinda bull crude goes through you'reminds to come out with this poop? First of all, right front he fricking start, actually try telling people what the problem is rather then just undoing it. And if you do, give a reason that's better then just "it's not interesting lol". Holy fricking barnacles. Deflactionspiral (talk) 23:59, December 10, 2017 (UTC)

You do realise that trivia is for random information that's suppose to be interesting, right? So "not interesting" is a viable reason in this case. Plus, this is in no way bullying, you must have lived a sheltered life if you think it is. Myself 123 00:09, December 11, 2017 (UTC)
Triva is meant to be trival information. Hence why it's called "trivia". Whether it's "interesting" or not has no merit, this is a wiki. It's supposed to be imfortative. Triva on a character page is trivial information. How hard is that to understand. And I don't even get how it's not interesting in the first place. And yes, this is bullying. You lot think you're better then everyone else. Deflactionspiral (talk) 00:12, December 11, 2017 (UTC)
And it fails to met the criteria for trivial information, that's my point. No, disagreement is not bullying and never will be. No-one here thinks there better than everyone, that's something you've imagined. The only one being condescending here is you. Myself 123 00:19, December 11, 2017 (UTC)
You know, why is this allowed, exactly, when I don't at all think it's "Interesting", and has information in it that is completely irrelevant:
  • He is also not the first character with a personal grudge against Shadow to gain red sclera and power up to an even more dangerous form that threatens the entire world; that honor would go to Mephiles the Dark. Coincidentally, both Dan Green (Mephiles' voice actor) and Liam O'Brien (Infinite's voice actor) both voiced anime incarnations of Ganryou of the Ikki Tousen franchise.
Oh I know why. It's because one of you probably personally likes Ikki Tousen. And this was probably added by one of you guys. But when it's not, you suddenly change the rules for what's allowed. That second half is completely non-important, and a utterly irrelevant happenstance. But it's not been taken out. I personally find that entire thing "not interesting", so I could've just taken it out, but I didn't, because I'm not a jerk. Deflactionspiral (talk) 00:25, December 11, 2017 (UTC)
I don't know who made that piece of trivia or what a Ikki Tousen is, but you're just making ridiculous assumptions you cannot back up. How does editing a page make someone a jerk? Edits don't belong to anyone, undoing an edit is not an attack on the person who made it. This is something you need to learn if you wish to continue contributing to wikis. Myself 123 01:03, December 11, 2017 (UTC)
I never said editing a page makes someone a jerk. It's the context surrounding it dude, But whatever you say I guess. Deflactionspiral (talk) 01:22, December 11, 2017 (UTC)
Well, if you want me to be more precise, removing a piece of trivia because you don't think it qualifies doesn't make you a jerk either. Myself 123 01:26, December 11, 2017 (UTC)

Real name

Based on his original appearance, I somehow didn't think Infinite had a real name, Should it be Zero the Jackal, because Zero was his original name and Infinite was the final name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by NoahAlexanderJohnson101 (talkcontribs) 22:19, January 18, 2018

Of course, "Infinite" wasn't his original name to start with, but we can't be sure that "Zero" is his original - it was planned to naming him "Zero" during the developing. It's not the same idea as Archie Comic's idea that gave Sonic's alternative name, which would be "Olgilvie Maurice Hedgehog", but it was scrapped due to the writers conflict. Plus, there were already ZERO, a robot under Eggman's creation. SEGA are not that stupid to see that coming so they changed Infinite's name from 'Zero' to 'Infinite' once the game reached its conclusion. FredCat 10:10, January 19, 2018 (UTC)
