I still wanna know more on there relationship, it interests me, for example in most manuals Sonic reconise his friend Tails like a little brother despite Sonic spending most of the time outside running across the world and Tails inside building stuff.
Not to mention that Tails is a little young to live alone and I am not talking about the fact he has an IQ way beyond his age, as well as a plane licence (Pressuming he has the right to fly a plane) I am just saying could an 8 year old kid with an IQ of 300 could really be responsable to live alone?
Could one say Sonic lives with Tails when he is not running or sonic looks after Tails like a family? perhaps living where Tails is... It really interest me and wanna know more on it.

He's Sonic's adopted Brother.

it's simple, Tails looks up to sonic like an older brother, and Sonic treats Tails like a little brother. I'm judging by the fact that Tails's(?) house looks like his head, that Sonic dosen't live there and maybe due to his I.Q he is reponsible to look after himself. - Because they think people will think it's official when it actually isn't or they just think it's fun to vandalize things would be my guess. - It's probably not dyed. Lots of animals have their coats change colour as they get older; this is probably just what's happening to Tails. Or maybe he just drinks more Sunny Delight these days. Molten Scandium 01:21, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

- 1.) I'll answer that with some questions. How can a hedgehog walk on two legs and run at supersonic speeds? How can a rabbit use their ears to fly? How can an echidna have super-strength? Game Physics, which don't follow real-world laws of physics/nature. In other words, don't look for a realistic answer to a question like that, because there isn't one.(Sorry if I came off a bit rude or arrogant with that, didn't mean-2.) I don't see how someone could mistake him for a squirrel. I mean cat, maybe, but I just don't see squirrel. 3.) - I imagine for the same reason that Bart Simpson is voiced by a girl, i.e. that it's difficult for male voice actors to sound convincingly like young boys. -- Supermorff 04:40, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

- You know what, it doesn't really matter (in my opinion). It doesn't make any of us like the character any less. Another thing, Naruto is also actually voiced by a girl, but still a very popular manga/anime character, so why does it even matter who voices Tails? Do you dislike the voice? Then send a note to SEGA, because (as far as I know) none of us can do bubkus about it, so it's pointless to complain about it. Still, there really is know point complaining about Tails' voice, since (unless a User here is a big member of Sonic Team) none of us can do a thing about it. I propose removing at least HALF of the pictures of Tails in this article. Alot of them are redundant and not needed. Theres 4 pictures of him from from Sonic 2 alone and all they are are multiple poses.
A better organization is needed. Preferably something akin to a non-moving slideshow that highlights his changes in appearence over the years rather than just a bunch of SEGA-drawn pictures.

If Tails is 8, doesn't that mean he was born in 2001???
- Not at all, since Sonic characters don't have birth years. If that were true, Sonic would be 18 now, yet he stays 15 because Sonic characters don't age (ie: Sonic was 15 in Sonic 1, Sonic Adventure, and Sonic Unleashed... even though they were released in 1991, 1998 and 2008. When Sega celebrates Sonic's birthday, there are celebrating his birthday as June 23rd, not June 23rd, 1991. Alex Prower 04:48, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
Finally, somebody who sees it the way it is, concerning them years. Yeah, there has never been a mention as to what year things occur in the Sonic-World (or what year-measurements, for that matter), so the best guess is, that the games from the first one till Unleashed happened over the time-span of roughly 2 years - we can't speculate anything beyond that. - in Sonic X, when Chris came to Sonic's world, ten years had passed by in the human world, but only a couple months went by in Sonic's world. So that sounds about right, Sonic's been around 18 years, so thats like almost 2 years in their time. So yeah, they wouldn't age significantly.Sonictoast 14:00, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
