Is he still "Sally Acorn"?[]
Since every continuity of the games has been the same for ten years now, isn't he technically Ricky now and no longer a female with some giant stupid pink bow on his head? What about the other friends? They were even referred to by their Japanese names in Jam and Gameworld, and in every cameo he's made he has no bow on. 72.231.24.134 19:51, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
- What's your point. We have an article for Ricky from the games and an article for Sally from Archie. We already recognise them as different characters. -- Supermorff 21:48, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
- I mean his name, not Sally. What is his english name now? Is he still Sally? But like I said, he has no bow anymore and he's been referred to as Ricky twice. 14:53, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Hm... no idea. Sorry. -- Supermorff 15:40, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
He'll probably appear in Sonic 4, since we've seen another one of Sonic's animal friends in a screenshot, so we'll see then. However, we can safely assume he's been retconned to "Ricky" along with everything else, right? 72.231.24.134 17:25, April 24, 2010 (UTC)
Was he ever actually Sally Acorn? I can't find any other reference to him being called Sally in the Western Media. I can see how he'd be the basis for the separate character from the show/comics, but where was the little squirrel from the games ever called Sally? Can we get a source? - Sonic Bible, Stay Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog (promotional comic), Virgin Books... in fact, pretty much every publication in the early Sonic canon. -- Supermorff 07:52, March 27, 2011 (UTC)
- I downloaded the original documents that were linked on the SonicRetro source at the bottom of those pages. That's an AWESOME read! Thanks! The Variable 21:25, March 28, 2011 (UTC)
Sally Acorn?[]
I'll put it back to being the nickname "Sally Acorn" as soon as I get a reason why he's nicknamed that. --Rainbowroad6w, the researcher. (Talk)(Recent finds and updates.) 18:47, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
- It's just the name the character was known as in Western regions, as mentioned in the introductory paragraph. -- Supermorff 18:05, November 17, 2011 (UTC)
