Allusions to Sonic Adventure 2

I've notice that the game seems to reference SA2 quite a bit throughout its span

Aside from Prison Island and the ARK with the flashbacks included, there are also some nifty references too. One of the most interesting allusions is The ARK level which appears to be identical to Final Rush, the last Hero stage, which is ironically, Sonic's stage. And then there's the brief jingle when Shadow transforms into his Super form. In Space Gadget, Sonic references their battle on the ARK Runway as well. Of course there's the Artificial Chaos runnin' around as well..

What do you think? Kaihedgie 22:38, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Seriously, who's idea was it to give Shadow guns, anyway? Skulls 04:39, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

i agree. he should have used chaos spear instead. i think he would prefer that over guns. Ralphjedimaster 03:53, November 14, 2011 (UTC)

It was a bad Idea

Seriously It was a Big mistake that thay made that game. Because I saw he say Bad words. But Why Sega!!!???"

  • Big deal. You must not like most movies or TV shows, which also sport some choice "bad words." Did you know "damn" is hardly considered a bad word at all in Japan? Look past the "bad words," cuz Shadow the Hedgehog is really a pretty good game. Aerandir 23:43, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

HOLY CRAP!!! SONIC CURSES IN THIS GAME?!!? I'm sorry people, but that's just plain WRONG! What does he say, exactly? 21:52, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

I love this game! Mostly because Shadow is my favorite character. Danielk2427 12:40, March 22, 2011 (UTC) Danielk2427

The Symbol

I've noticed that the symbol in the game's title kinda looks like one of Shadow's poses;|The swirl in the figure may represent Shadow's head and torso. The three large spikes on the top may represent Shadow's spikes. The small spike right after the three large ones could represent one of the spikes that Shadow has on his back. The small and slightly fattened spike on the front of the symbol (the way left side) could represent Shadows ear. And finally, the spike on the way bottom of the symbol could represent Shadow's tail.

And yes; I know that there is some slight distortion when comparing the two. --Shadow the Hedgehog Befriend me... Or perish at my feet! 21:15, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Got bored?

once you finish the game there's really nothing left to do it's a pretty good game but it lacks things to do after the final showdown with devil doom--Bluestreak77 17:29, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Well, there's expert mode after you beat every stage with an A-Rank… Herman2000 21:02, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Well, try to complete the library... that way you can play the living hell out of the game... Seriously, Library=326 runs...

Wait, then you will have to play 326 times Westopolis?!?! Whoa...Rockw0lf 01:06, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

Do you believe?

I hear that some people were upset about this game because of the enemies. The Black Arms and Black Doom. Sonic & Scrab Master

I'll say. Espcecially those idiots at IGN. But if you don't get my drift, some people call it racist. I'm black and i'm not offended. Sonic & Scrab Master

This is a good game...Shadow The II Says "Join The Dark Side" 20:07, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

...People take thing waay too literally. Just because of the color in the name DOES NOT mean that Sega was being racial. And, furthermore, I don't think that Japan is as racial as other countries as other (*coughAmericacough*) are. I'm a Super NOVA! 00:55, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

Hey man. That's not cool. I didn't say it was racist. I was just mentioning it as someone said that other people thought it. Sonic & Scrab Master DO know that I was AGREEING with you, right? I wasn't referring to you, I was talking about the people who call it racist. I'm a Super NOVA! 01:15, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

Im going to be getting this game for meh 11th Birthday hopefully =D. Shadow's the best character ever. *Glomps shadow*

@Ivy, Get the GameCube version, I loved this Game and my friend hated it. He had it on XBOX, I let him borrow my GameCube version and he loved it. My other friend hated this game and he had it on PS2. I convinced him to sell his PS2 version and buy it on GameCube, he did and now he loves this game. Sonictoast 23:19, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

i loved this game on the PS2

Ediskrad327 23:35, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

@Sonictoast, I'll try to get it on GameCube =D

Ivy 10:49, June 18, 2011 (UTC)IvyTheHedgehog

That doesn't make sense. The three versions of the game are near-identical. The only difference between them is that in the PS2 and XBox versions, setting the system-language to Japanese turns both the subtitles and spoken dialogue to Japanese whereas in the Gamecube version, there is no Japanese language track. --Herman2000 18:17, June 18, 2011 (UTC)

I generally believe this was a bad gae because it generally swerved fro what is Sonic. Yes Shadow is fast but his physics have been nerfed for his environment. You could be moving along at a fast pace then stop. You don't have to caution yourself from your own momentum which to some maybe benefitial but to those who have mastered the momentum of speed since Mega Drive, this can be awkward. Also the fact Shadow resorts to guns kinda proove that Sonic is more better than him since he doesn't resort to multiple weaponry. The levels themselves are different from standard Sonic levels as for Shadow they are laiden with obsticals and enemies that need to be taken out with weaponry than just classic strength alone which can also be awkward to a hardcore Sonic player.

In general I just think the reason why negative oppinions on this game is simply because while Sonic and his friends are in the story, gameplay wise it's too little to do with Sonic.--Mystic Monkey is a proud MonoBook Wikian. 22:46, January 20, 2012 (UTC)

Main Series Game???

Are you sure this is a Main Series Game??? Because this (Exept Sonic the Hedgehog 4) game is the only game in the main series to not have a level is Generations.

MilkthekowMomo 22:13, June 25, 2011 (UTC)

Just because it didn't have a level in Generations doesn't mean it's not a main series game. Plus, it would've been hard to implement a level from this game into Generations, since this games' about guns and stuff. AND Shadow. It's still a main series game, even though it didn't have a level in Generations. Oh, and Sonic 3 didn't get a level in the game, and it's still a main series game, right? Pinkolol16 A Sonic Fan Who loves all the video game characters 04:40, November 14, 2011 (UTC)

it IS a main series game, most likely the reason it didn't had a level on generations is because the games about SHADOW, not SONIC, plot wise in Generations Eggman was altering his previous defeats and this game focuses on the black arms

Ediskrad327 05:26, November 14, 2011 (UTC)

Sonic 3 did get a level. You know how Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles were ment to be one game? Sky Santuary is the Sonic 3 level. 23:23, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

The game itself refers to both games as seperate so you're about that. Myself 123 23:27, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, give me a f***ing break. This is no more a main series game than Knuckles' Chaotix or SATSR. - 16:43, April 8, 2012 (UTC)

It is a main series game. Cause it kinda ties up all the stuff left open in Heroes. I don't recall either of the examples you mentioned doing that. --TheLairOfRockwhales 05:51, October 6, 2012 (UTC)

It's a spinoff game, which is why is wasn't in Generations, but elements of the story were influenced by Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes and ties in with those two. Myself 123 16:54, April 8, 2012 (UTC)

Kind of an odd question but does anyone knows a site where I can download maps of some of the levels in this game? Preferably Central City. It's a fan game project reason.--Mystic Monkey is a proud MonoBook Wikian. 22:46, January 20, 2012 (UTC)

Third-period shooter game?

Hey, does anyone know what a third-period shooter game is? 'Cause I don't know. Blaze Sol (or Dame Percival)

The First One

Many people consider this to be the first game of the "Modern" era of Sonic, should I add that in the trivia?--Bandicootfan63 (talk) 11:20, December 15, 2012 (UTC)CM

I'd say you should leave it for now, since many people also consider Sonic Heroes to be the first Modern era game, as it was the first game not to be released for the Dreamcast. THE REFLEX dancing on the valentine 11:30, December 15, 2012 (UTC)
