Wikipedia: main or spin-off[]

I know that Sonic News Network and Wikipedia may have slightly different view points and information of Sonic games etc. but can we convince Wikipedia that this game is listed as a MAIN CONSOLE SERIES and NOT A SPIN-OFF. I will post a link to the talk page if you haven't seen it yet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Shadow_the_Hedgehog_(video_game)OrbAdventures (talk) 10:35, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

It's both really, it's a spin-off as it centers around a different character, but it's also well within the series' canon and rounds off the story of Shadow. Myself 123 14:46, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

So a Sonic game only counts to the main series, if it's within the series' canon and of course stars Sonic as the main character. OrbAdventures (talk) 01:28, April 18, 2013 (UTC)

Well, what I was trying to say is that this game could be considered both; it's a spinoff as it centers on a different character, and uses different enemies. On the other hand, it re-uses locations from previous games and continues some storyline sections from previous games. Myself 123 22:40, April 18, 2013 (UTC)

Hmmm...[]

Hey guys, I noticed that the article needs a better quote at the top. I wonder if anyone has found the tagline....In case none of you found it, the Tagline is "Hero or Villain?". I found a copy of the game myself but didn't buy it cuz I'm not into shooters mixed with Sonic action at the moment. If this helps, I'm glad.

P.S. Notify me if it's okay to put the Tagline on. Another thing, I'm actually with Sonic Fanon Wiki, I just like coming here when I have nothing else to do. SupeSonicWind2000 (talk) 05:27, May 22, 2013 (UTC)

For the most part, the weapons are optional, you should pick it up. Bobombdom (talk) 15:10, August 6, 2013 (UTC)

Stage order[]

Does anyone agree that all the stages of this game should have a stage order? Mystic Orb: Who do you think I am? What do you want? What do I do? 07:05, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

Hey I do think its alright SEGA needs a little bit more characters in each game because it is getting boring

Suggestions in the Next game

Artyom Aghasky

A formal orphan who harvested Chaos emeralds

A GUN slinger for which he is called he got gadgets

A character that can turn into a hedgehog!

This game is nonsense.[]

It should really be rated M.

I hear he said, BLEEEP,(Dm.)

And he shot Sonic's back and it had blood.

It's not published by Sega,

it's by 4kids. WHAT A DANG RIP OFF! I love it. NO I DON'T.Leeds90-Rly dude (talk) 16:52, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

P.S. They did it without Sega's Permission

Two Player Co-Op?[]

You know guys, I have played this game 100+ hours and got 120-something of the 326 storylines in the library, so I got some experience with it and I'm pretty sure that there isn't any kind of Co-Op mode in the game, unless of course we count the "side assistant" being controlled with a second controller a "Co-Op Mode". xD

SpyroGuy (talk) 13:24, September 21, 2013 (UTC)

After scanning through the entire archive of talk pages, i can not believe the sh*t people give about this game. Really? love the game? I think this was the rock bottom of 3-D sonic games. This game probably got more negative reception than '06, due to the controversy and staining the honor of the people of WW2. Did the game get legal issues?

(Somecallmedreamcaster (talk) 04:59, September 29, 2013 (UTC))

Alright then. You hate it, good for you, but you know what? I don't care what anybody says about these Sonic games being this and that bad because I Still Enjoy Them Much More than recent Sonic games. Like I mentioned earlier I played ShadowTH 100+ hours and probably Sonic'06 as well. Why? The challenge. I only like games which are challenging and interesting enough for me to bother to play with them. For me Generations and Colors weren't able to accomplish this and even though I played through them I have to say that I didn't enjoy them as much as I did the older ones. Thanks to people like you, who keep shouting how bad these games were, we can now have these recent Sonic games lacking almost any kinds of characterizations, storyline or anything that would keep an older Sonic player interested anymore. These negative responses aren't helping to Sega because with all these whining around they are starting to forget what makes Sonic truly Sonic. It's like you're beating a helpless child while he's drowning. You don't help with this at all. Oh and also respect other's opinions.

Sorry folks, but I had to point this out. I'm still looking forward to SLW though because of it's NiGHTS content and the game's OST.

Have a good day! =)

Why goodbye Shadow the Hedgehog?[]

Shadow found out who he was -- the ultimate lifeform created with blood from Black Doom.  I don't understand why he said "Goodbye forever, Shadow the Hedgehog" at the end of the game.  Is it because he wasn't what he thought he was or what he was supposed to be? Rebmaboss2 (talk) 12:22, January 8, 2014 (UTC)

I think he said goodbye to his past to look into the future and start a new life, then he became '06 Shadow. SpyroGuy (talk) 09:38, January 9, 2014 (UTC)

The Controversy section...[]

For one thing, the part about characters swearing is slightly inaccurate. Eggman never "swears" (not that I consider Damn and Hell swears, but w/e). He never once says either of those two words.

Now, for the actual "controversial" moments.

First off, sources for these so-called "complaints?" Because I'm pretty sure that would've been a big(ish) news thing, in both the US and UK, so how come it's only now that I've heard a word about this?

The only assassination attempt in 2005 was in May, and Shadow the Hedgehog was released in December, so saying the release date corresponded to this attempt is a big lie. Also, I fail to see how the attempt on the UF President's life is anyway related to this one, as the IRL one was done with a grenade at a conference, whilst the one in Shadow was aboard a flying aircraft carrier.

As for the 7/7 Bombing "similarities", again, whilst the overall premise is similar (blowing things up and all that), the way they're carried out are vastly different. On the one hand, we have terrorists blowing themselves up in the Underground and on a bus. On the other, we have an alien invasion led by a floating starfish and an anthropomorphic hedgehog, with incredibly large bombs placed hapazardly around the city. Not to mention the green ooze, the alien footsoldiers, the red echidna wandering around and the appearance of GUN soldiers and mechs. I fail to see any similarities between these two events, or how this is a "re-enactment" of the 7/7 bombings.

I know that the bombings were a horrible tragedy and the assassination a fearful experience for many, but I fail to see how these events directly correspond to this game. The fact that there are no sources for this section only make this worse, as to me, it just sounds like a fan who doesn't like the game is trying to make up stuff to make the game look worse than what many people already believe it to be. (I love this game, but that's not important right now)

Cool Songs[]

While I'm not crazy about songs like "Almost Dead" or "Waking Up", (mostly because I've only watched music videos by StormRedDesert on YouTube about the following three songs) I do like songs like "I Am... All of Me" and "All Hail Shadow". Hey, does anyone remember that line in "Never Turn Back" when they sing "Got a hundred-thousand pounds sitting on my back"? When I first watched the music video of that by StormRedDesert, I was like "'Got a hundred-thousand pounds siting on my back'.....EGGMAN IS SITTING ON YOUR BACK?!?" LOL, am I right? Protection?[]

Looks like our favourite butthurt Fidel is now taking to vandalising this page to vent his anger and denial over his being wrong about the Rio 2016 roster. But, in all seriousness, can we consider having this page protected?

Confession time[]

This game is a guilty pleasure for me.

Synopsis text and pictures[]

Hello! So I've ripped all synopsis text from GC version. Does this page need it? Because it's difficult to read all this text yourself since you need to quit to main menu after every level and come back to watch the recaps. Plus level cards: http://imgur.com/a/wk9va from Synopsis_EN.txd

DanikV (talk) 04:26, March 20, 2017 (UTC)

I don't see anything preventing you from posting the images in the gallery of the game and on stages. And for the text, there is no problem of writing it on the article, too. Just make a section for it.--Luma.dash (talk) 10:21, March 20, 2017 (UTC)
