Sonic Doesn't Like Cat Food?

Are the Sonic X comics a continuity of their own? I mean they were made by different people (Sonic Team for the Anime) so does that technically make them their own continuity that is just based off of the continuity of the Anime?

Just curious because if so then maybe I should create pages for the versions' of the characters in the comics and list edit things to list it as its own continuity/universe.

Just like the SatAM/Archie Universe difference, the Sonic X comics are treated separately from the anime (i. e. El Gran Gordo). Serious Sam

So then would it be alright for me or someone else to create articles about the Sonic X comics versions of the characters? Like say Christopher Thorndyke (Sonic X comics) or Sonic the Hedgehog (Sonic X comics)? Especially in Chris' case as I've noticed that he isn't nearly as dependent on Sonic in the comics as he is in the Anime (he seems able to handle his parents' absence better and the whole conflict with his parents and Sonic going back home doesn't seem to be as big of a personal issue to him in the comics.)
