For some reason, i like the game, even these sections. by the way, im the creator of the page, and i hope to continue helping the sonic wiki in every way!

• I disagree, the Mach Speed article is about the special shoes that you buy at the shop which cannot be used in Mach Speed Stages, this article is about the Mach Speed Stages (the correct name to the page is Super Speed Stages by the way). Pacmansonic138 (talk) 01:46, November 6, 2012 (UTC)

Im the creator, and i am here to discuss. this should NOT be merged, as this is about mach speed sections, not those shoes you buy in the shop. so, you have the creators opinion on the subject(sorry if im being harsh, but i want to point out the difference. however, i wont be against the shoe variant being merged with this page)

Pacmansonic's information makes the matter clearer. The content of the article and the title misled me. That's ok, and the manual does call the Super-Speed Stages, if they're named in-game as Mach Speed Sections, the page will keep the name with "Super-Speed Stages" linking to this page, if not, the page name will be changed. Myself 123 02:07, November 6, 2012 (UTC)

Not to bring back a conflict between me and you myself, but i have to say that manuals are only for giving instructions and guides, not to be a sufficient source of data. one example: sonic 06 manuals say that the egg gunner has two machine guns for hands, but we know that is not right, as they have a missile launcher instead.

I don't remenber there being anything in the manual about Egg Gunners, could you say what page number it's on? Secondly, while manuals aren't always entirely factual and make mistakes, there is no other source for the name of these sections, so the manual is the only source we've got. Also, I'd like to add that manuals aren't soley for giving instructions or guides, they also contain background information and other things that may not be directly stated in-game. sorry, i meant strategy guide. but the manual is not enough to change the name. and, it seems that almost everyone calls it mach speed section, so we should stick to itso no further controversy is started. however, i would be ok if we have super speed stage s as an alias.

Just because most fans call it "Mach Speed Sections" doesn't make it the OFFICIAL NAME, if the instruction manual calls it Super Speed Stages then it is the OFFICAL NAME for the stage. Pacmansonic138 (talk) 02:47, November 8, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, i just aint used to using manuals, as most of my games manuals are really inaccurate on story and background info

I found these parts of the stage frustrating, especially Crisis Core. Then I found out the Light Speed Dash was incredibly useful in these parts of the stages. If you're not running at a safe angle you can just ring dash and it will automatically adjust you to wherever the rings point at which usually somewhere safe. Also rings are more vital in these parts of the stages than usual areas and light dashing makes you faster a bit more than usual meaning you'll get to the goal quicker.--Mystic Monkey is a MonoBook wikian. _ 02:08, April 11, 2013 (UTC)
