Tantaragor is a location that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is the home dimension of the ghostly race known as the Tantaror, including their leader Ekkletos. It appears to be vast open space, with geometrical shapes visible in the far distance, and glows a pale blue colour. Transport between Tantaragor and Mobius is possible by means of the Tantaragor Idol, a teleportation device.[1] Some Tantaror possess the ability to transport others between Mobius and Tantaragor without such a device.[2]

History[]

The Ghost Ship[]

Knuckles the Echidna, Captain Plunder and a group of other pirates were transported to Tantaragor by Ekkletos remotely using the Tantaragor Idol in an attempt to catch three Tantaror heretics, followers of Orkym-Ro.[3][1] Once Knuckles helped Ekkletos find the heretics, Ekkletos returned him and the pirates to Mobius.[4]

The Detour[]

Sonic and Tails were briefly transported to Tantaragor when a young Tantaror boy wanted to keep them as pets. The young Tantaror created various locations for them (a maze, a mountaintop and a cave), as well as several illusory monsters to fight (a Minotaur and a tribe of Yetis), before being forced to send them back to Mobius by its father.[2]
