The Team Blast is a special technique used by Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose and Team Chaotix in Sonic Heroes. When using this move, all teammates work together to deliver a knockout technique that destroys all nearby enemies and as well trigger an after-effect.
When performing the Team Blast, all teammates on the team joins up and combines their powers to unleash an unified attack that causes widespread destruction. The performance and name of the Team Blast differs between each team.
To perform a Team Blast in gameplay, the player must press White Button// when the Team Blast Gauge is full. When using a Team Blast, the player can destroy all enemies in the near vicinity and as well inflict a large amount of damage to bosses. Additionally, after using the Team Blast (for most of them), a beneficial after-effect is activated. The type and nature of the after-effect depends on the user of the Team Blast. To use the Team Blast again, the Team Blast Gauge must have reset and been fully refilled.
Each Team Blast's name, performance and effects are as follows:
Team Dark: Shadow uses Chaos Control while Rouge lifts Omega off the ground who shoots a laser in all directions. While the Team Blast Gauge resets from the usage, time is completely frozen. This Team Blast is called Chaos Inferno.
Team Chaotix: Vector, Espio and Charmy all play loud, off key, music. For each enemy destroyed during the attack, the team receives a RingItem Box. While the Team Blast Gauge resets from the usage, Team Chaotix get a Ring Item Box for each enemy they destroy. This Team Blast is called Chaotix Recital.
There is a glitch that can be performed at Ocean Palace. Near the end of the level, where boulders are rolling towards the playable character, wait until there are three boulders. When the player gets near the Dash Panel (you don't have to be right next to it) use either one of your choice. If done correctly, the player will see a "zoomed out" version of one of these.
