Team Freedom is the second group of new Freedom Fighters, the other being Team Fighters. Team Freedom first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog #236, along with Team Fighters. They were formed to protect the people of New Mobotropolis from Eggman's evil plans and even from Ixis Naugus, the current New Mobotropolis leader. They were formed shortly after Sally Acorn was roboticized into Mecha Sally and after Antoine D'Coolette had went into a coma.

HistoryEdit

Freedom ComingEdit

After several Freedom Fighters were defeated or roboticized, Sonic, Tails, Amy and Rotor had decided to give up the Freedom Fighters and split up into two teams; Team Fighters, which consists of Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Tails' robotic puppy, T-Pup; while Team Freedom will hold Rotor, Big the Cat, Cream the Rabbit, and Heavy and Bomb. Rotor and his partners had hold a convention to tell the people about the new Team Freedom. Naugus was quite disappointed when they had told the people of New Mobotropolis that they would protect the city at all costs, something Naugus had promised. (StH #236)

Attack on New MobotropolisEdit

After Team Fighters defeated Eggman's forces in Feral Forest, the Death Egg attacks New Mobotropolis thinking that Sonic and his friends are still at Feral Forest. Luckily, Team Freedom was there to protect the city at all costs. Rotor then activities the shield to protect the city, angering Eggman at the same time. However, since Deadly Cuddles was inside New Mobotropolis, Eggman was able to break the shield and several Egg Pods crashed inside the city. Team Freedom and even Naugus were able to destroy a few of the Egg Pod. Naugus, however, was injured and Big the Cat came to put him out of the battle. Suddenly, Eggman sends Metal Sonic, Metal Tails, and Metal Amy to attack Team Freedom. With the help of the Secret Freedom Fighters, the robots were defeated and Eggman escapes from Team Freedom.
