Temple Trouble
Next track >>

Temple Trouble (モンキーアイランド[1] Monkī Airando?, lit. "Monkey Island") is a track that appears in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed that represents Monkey Island from Super Monkey Ball. The track has a Super Monkey Ball-style checkered ground pattern and water caves where players have to use boat-style gameplay.

Description[]

Starting at a downhill river, this track leads racers across checkerboard-style patterned roads that split apart and interweave each other. Monkey Balls roll back and forth to trample racers, while stone statues will pop out of the ground for reckless drivers to crash into. At the second point that the roads split up, clever racers can drop down to a much faster route. Upon reaching another river, racers will be guided into a large temple chamber with a whirlpool in the middle, followed by a portal that warps them back to the starting line for the next lap.

Trivia[]

  • This was the first level (alongside Dragon Canyon) to be revealed for the game.
  • Adder's Lair and this track's starting lane is on water.
  • The entire track seems to slope downwards, which may reference the Super Monkey Ball series.
  • The Dreamcast swirl can be seen on the walls inside of the temple at the end of the track, as well as the wall around the finish line.
  • The music for the boat portions of ths stage is a remix of the Jungle World theme from the original Super Monkey Ball. The music for the car portions is a remix of the Monkey Island theme from Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. The course flyover music is a remix of the "Monkey Target" theme from Super Monkey Ball.
