The Trickster is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He is an interdimensional and outlandish criminal who speaks in rhymes.

Appearance

The Trickster sports a pink blazer with a green shirt, yellow tie, a belt, jeans and brown and tan shoes. He has one tooth protruding out of his closed mouth. He also wears an earring in his left ear and has wild grey hair.

History

The Trickster was the son of a mega-successful toy maker. When the Trickster inherited his father's wealth, he would use it to finance his criminal activities, including the construction of a Secret Zone.[1]

The Trickster's first known move was sending a "Smart" missile to destroy Sonic the Hedgehog. The missile gave Sonic four rhymes to follow, which made him square off against old foes before he got the opportunity to deactivate the missile.[1] Meanwhile, the Trickster detected Tekno the Canary hacking into his zone, so he captured her and took her place using shape-shifting technology to lure Sonic into a tap.[1][2]

Posing as Tekno, the Trickster came and shut down the smart missile when Sonic tried disarming it.[1] He then led Sonic into a trap in his Secret Zone, where a recording of him appeared to taunt Sonic. After leading Sonic through the Zone, the Trickster accidentally revealed himself when Tekno rhymed a warning to Sonic. When Sonic discovered his scheme, the Trickster decided to seal the door to the outside world, with Sonic and Tekno only just making it back to Metropolis City.[2]
