For reasons even I am not sure of, I have taken on the self appointed (not to mention tedious and somewhat thankless) task of digitally preserving retro books by converting them to eBook.
Why am I telling you this?
Because I'm working on the 90's Sonic the Hedgehog novels. And not just the goofy US ones... the UK novels, too.
So far, I have three of the US books converted (Fortress of Fear, Sonic and Knuckles, and Sonic X-Treme) and one of the UK books (Sonic the Hedgehog in the Fourth Dimension), with more books in the works (more specifically, Sonic the Hedgehog in Robotnik's Laboratory).
The US books are pretty juvenile, but the UK books are kinda awesome. I mean, you got Sonic and Tails dimension hopping and racing to the past on a hastily built time-treadmill to stop some anthropomorphic dragon-men. I definitely recommend it.
Anyway, you can download them over at my Retro Reading Time blog (along with other retro books).
(Sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but I figured it was relevent.)
