Thunder Dragons are creatures that are only found in Dragon's Lair in Sonic and the Black Knight.

DescriptionEdit

Thunder Dragons are small, yellow, plasma-based dragons that leave trails of lightning behind them. These trails can be used by Sonic and the Knights of the Round Table as narrow platforms to advance through the level. The trail of lightning does not last very long, so if the player doesn't move quickly, the trail will vanish underneath them and they will fall. Enemies will begin to appear on the trails, making it more difficult to avoid falling off as the player will usually need to defeat the enemies before continuing along them. Thunder Dragons are actually harmless, despite them being composed of pure electricity, and they appear to have no interest in Sonic.
