Totem Base is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was an Eggman Empire facility in the Northern Tundra built and maintained by the Northern Tundra Dark Egg Legion and the brainwashed Walrus Herd. After being completed, it was destroyed by the efforts of the Freedom Fighters and their allies.

History

Having enslaved the Walrus Herd, Akhult's chapter of the Dark Egg Legion put them to work constructing the Totem Base, which included a large fueling station for the Death Egg Mark 2. Consisting of portions both above and below water, it was defended by the Northern Tundra Dark Egg Legion beneath and the walruses above. As a result, the Arctic Freedom Fighters called upon Sonic the Hedgehog to support them in their assault on it, which involved the group splitting into two teams to attack each section of the tower.[1] The attack might have failed had it not been for the timely arrival of Silver the Hedgehog and Rotor Walrus, who used the Psionic Emitter built into the tower to free the Walrus Herd and drive off the Legion. The Totem Base was subsequently destroyed.[2]
