The Mobian Tree of Wisdom is a flora that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a tree growing on Mobius which wields intelligent-boosting fruits.
The Tree of Wisdom has the structure of a stereotypical tree with a brown trunk and is a couple of meters tall. However, while the smaller branches on its trunk has regular green leaves, the tree's crown is pink and resembles a brain.
The Tree of Wisdom produces apples that boost the mental intelligence of anyone that consumes them to genius-levels. However, it is extremely difficult to make it cultivate fruit, as Rotor could only make his grow a single one after years of work. Additionally, the effects of the tree's fruit only last twenty-four hours: after that, the consumer will return to normal. However, the Tree of Wisdom's fruit does have the lasting effect of permanently bolstering the consumer's intuition.
While out in the Great Forest, Rotor found a Tree of Wisdom and took it with him to nurture it, but never managed to make it grow more than one fruit. Years later, Tails accidentally ate the tree's fruit, giving him immense intelligence, but also made him arrogant with power. To prove his superiority, Tails took off to defeat Dr. Ivo Robotnik on his own, believing he could make the dictator surrender with his newfound brain-power. When Tails entered Robotnik's headquarters however, the effects of the fruit from the tree of wisdom wore off and he was captured and had to be saved by Sonic the Hedgehog. While Tails lost his genius intellect however, the fruit did seem to bolster his already considerable intuition.
