Universal Studios (known professionally as Universal Pictures or just Universal) is an American film studio first founded on April 30, 1912. It is owned by the Comcast through it's division subsidiary NBCUniversal. It is one of the world's oldest surviving film studios and one of Hollywood's "Big Six" studios. Its division "Universal Pictures Home Entertainment" is behind numerous home video distributions, including those for the Sonic Boom television series.
