I am Wkmeads1, aka Wk. I am a chat mod on the site, which means I have a kickban power on chat. Just a little extra tool. I have a good knowledge of the Sonic series. My first game was Sonic Heroes, where I first met 2 characters: Metal Sonic & Shadow. They became my favorites. I prefer modern over classic. But you know, not everyone's perfect.
I also edit and is the founder of Sonic: The Generations Wiki. I am the founder, which means I am the ultra admin, I guess. That wiki is no longer active.
I also edit (rarely) at Fantoon Network, which I am an admin. I block trolls and spammers there, I don't do much editing there. That wiki I am not affiliated with anymore.
Sometimes I am a workaholic. Not many times. But sometimes.
Top 10 Favorite Games
I have favorite games. Some other than Sonic. Lots of them. Here are 10 of them
10: Sonic Heroes (Xbox)
This one is low on the list because lots of other games outweigh it. The gameplay is good, and the level design is nice, but the controls are horrendous, the voice acting and writing are...questionable, and the multiplayer is really lacking, compared to Adventure 2. Overall, the game is good for a distraction, but gets really repetitive after all
9: Ninja Gaiden 3 (Xbox 360)
This one is also low because of what it did to my 2nd favorite franchise. It changed A LOT. Where do I even begin? The gameplay. The gameplay is streamlined to the maximum. You get no Elixirs or Herbs, no choice on Ninpo (you only get Inferno) and the game is only 8 chapters long! I hope Razor's Edge is better
8: Shadow the Hedgehog (Xbox)
This USED to be higher, but I quickly realized how repetitive it was after I completed it for the 2nd time. The guns I don't mind too much, it brings something new to the table, but the swearing, however, is just a poor man's attempt to make the game edgy. The gameplay itself, on the other hand, is alright
7: Sonic Adventure (Xbox 360)
No, I haven't played Adventure 2. Sue me. But, atleast Adventure 1 is good. It's low because, like the previous entries, several games outweigh it tremendously. That aside, the gameplay is good, but only one half of it. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, I'm fine with, but Amy, Gamma, and Big? They're.....questionable (
6: Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing (Xbox 360)
THIS is how you make a Sonic racing game. It's got so many Sega characters, from Billy Hatcher to Alex Kidd, you've got them all. Except Shinobi. Hmph. But, the racing is good. You've got powerups that are great. Also, there are some nice Sonic characters (duh), from Dr. Eggman to Big (Wait, WHAT?!?)
5: Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) (Xbox 360)
I know you're probably like the minion from Despicable Me right now (WHAT?!?) but hear me out. I generally like the game. Gameplay-wise, only. Story...ha ha ha. What story? This ain't no story, this is a sad attempt at an official fanfiction, anything resembling a story is non-existent. Gameplay is okay, but it's nothing special.
4: Ninja Gaiden Black (Xbox)
THIS, THIS is an awesome game. The first in a series of Ninja Gaiden games to reboot the series after it dissapeared for a good few years. This is a remake of the first Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox. It's a harder remake, supposedly, and has features such as upgradable weapons, magic moves called Ninpo, and health items called Elixirs. This game is hard, really hard, which is why I detest Ninja Gaiden 3 for toning down difficulty. Even on the easy mode, it's still hard, but you know what? It's worth it. It really is worth it
3: Ninja Gaiden II
THIS, THIS is even better than an awesome game. It's a fantastic game. Even harder than the original, Ninja Gaiden II's packed with secrets and just amazing gameplay. But there's one thing that really grinds my gears about this game: It's cheap. Really cheap. But, like the first game, it's worth it in every way
2: Mortal Kombat (2011)
Wow. This is the ONLY MK game on the list? I need to play more MK games. Anyway, I have the Komplete Edition of the game (WITH A K!!!) so that means I have all DLC for it! That means Rain, Kenshi, Skarlet, and Freddy Kruger for some reason. Anywho, the game is great. It has faster gameplay than before. It's got X-Ray Moves (which are basically a Fatality Lite). It's got awesome characters. It's got a good Story Mode. My only gripes with the game are that the bosses are cheap, and the Challenge Tower isn't very fun. So, what can top the best MK game released in years
1: Sonic Generations
This game can. This is the best Sonic game I've ever played. It's got great levels, great bosses, spectacular music, funny callbacks to past Sonic games, awesome rewards, and it's just a fun time all throughout. This is the only Sonic game that I've beaten 100%, and that's saying a lot. The only gripe is that the missions are very...hit and miss. Better than Adventure, better than Heroes, better than Shadow, better than '06, and better than Unleashed. Happy 22nd Anniversary Sonic, you've been better than ever for the past 5 years, keep it up Sonic Team. But one more thing, so far, I'm guessing that Lost World *gulp* could be better than Generations *GASP!*.
So that's my 10 favorite games of all time, what's yours?
