So, it's getting close to Christmas. Upon inspiration to make LEGO Christmas-themed sprites from a picture of an 8-bit Mario in a Santa costume, I went from this order (And smallest to largest):
- Mario (8-bit, Super Mario Bros.)
- Luigi (8-bit, custom Super Mario Bros.)
- Link (16-bit, a Link to the Past)
- Sonic the Hedgehog (16-bit, Sonic the Hedgehog 2)
And you saw Sonic there. Rather than talk about it, I'll allow the pictures to speak for themselves (It's a pretty big sprite).

The Santa hat was customly built around where Sonic's top spines would be, I also built around the ears
Using dark-red bricks created a shadowy effect, just like on the sprite. However, It's wasn't possible to create that effect on Sonic's head, because of a very low count of dark blue bricks
and here's the ugly backside. As you can see, supports were necessary because the model is too slim
