Jazwares had a booth showcasing its Sonic toys at the Nuremberg toy fair held last week. This sign was in the booth:

The final point in the section to the left reveals a new Sonic game is coming 2015... presumably after the third game in the Nintendo/Sega partnership, since it will be multiplatform: for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the Wii U. This also implies that the third game is coming sometime this year.

On a side note, according to the sign, the Sonic Boom TV show's target audience is not simply children ages 6-11, but boys 6-11. Also, the show will be CG-animated, the first in Sonic's history.

We'll bring you more when it comes in.

Sega themselves have addressed the matter:

"Sega is yet to announce details of upcoming console video games for Sonic the Hedgehog or further details regarding the new Sonic CG TV series. The recent information coming out of Nuremburg Toy Fair was incorrect."
"For official and up to date news regarding Sonic the Hedgehog please go to or follow Sonic on Twitter (@sonic_hedgehog)."
