Hey Bullet ^^ I was actually planning to return last moth, but for some reason I can't click anything in the wiki, probably cause of the decorations (mainly the ghosts) Every time I right click it always says "Save image as" Xp. I was actually hard for me to go around the wiki since I couldn't click anything the whole month of October. I'll be returning her, but due to school only on the weekends. Honestly it's hard for me to contribute now since there are so many active users XD ♥ ♥
When you are available, I would like to talk to you on skype.11:39, November 7, 2013 (UTC)
An unnecessarily long message and title, but please read anyway.
Bullet, there's something I have to explain to you... I never got around to telling you, but now's the time.
"The sheer number of atrocious remarks and attacks in your statement are appalling. Not only are you discrediting and insulting users for their reasons, but you are demanding them to give a "real" reason. What more of a "real" (terrible adjective for this context, not sure why you even used it, it's insulting and degrading) reason do you need? They are referencing my arguments and reasoning that I had taken time to type out. I fail to see why they need to repeat what I said already."
Recognize that statement? Those are your words. I just want to tell you what your tone means to me.
I don't see any atrocious remark made by anyone on the thread, save yours. It seems as if Kagi and Akamia merely misinterpreted the comments there and wanted clarification. It was a simple mistake, and a simple request that no one had to pay attention to. Even wanting a "real" reason meant to convey a sense that they find your logic invalid; don't you feel the same about their logic? The words they chose were never meant to attack anyone, never meant to hurt anyone. They didn't mean to attack anyone, and I find it absolutely bizarre that you somehow managed to get an "insulting and degrading" personal attack out of their innocent or legitimately sincere words, or so it seems to me.
You could've just explained your reasoning as you did, but without the bolded letters and without maligning their behavior. I agree with you, that others don't need to state their own reasons if the reasoning of another is sufficient to state their opinion, but Akamia and Kagi just wanted more, and you can't blame them. I used to hate the "per [X]" thing once, but now I understand, and I'm fine with it. They didn't understand, and when they misinterpreted others, you misinterpreted them. Except when you interpreted them, it was much more destructive.
Bullet, you're more influential than you realize. With your status and your influence, your words are more powerful than anyone else's. You can turn arguments, even when you acknowledge your logic might be flawed. Your support is the main reason I'm an admin today. But when you misinterpret someone like this, it besmirches their reputation. And not only that, but it hurts their feelings.
And yes, feelings are completely relevant. What we say, what we do, and sometimes even what we think affects the feelings of others. You know this. But what's frightening is the fact that in situations like the thread I'm referencing, you seem to completely disregard the feelings of others. What's worse? You bashed them for not assuming good faith, but you didn't realize that you might have been the one who did. Please don't be a hypocrite. It's below you. What's even worse? You not only accused them of assuming bad faith and making insulting remarks, but you even felt the need to mock them in one sentence (the "mightiness" remark). Although it was slight, you nevertheless mocked them. Not something nice, you know.
What's the point of this message? Why am I making such a big deal out of this? Because it's happened to me, more than once. It's happened to quite a few others, too.
Okay, this message is bit longer than necessary. I guess I might have made this into a bigger deal than it really is, but I want you to understand how I see this behavior. But I'm not going to hold anything against you. Because although you didn't seem to care for the feelings of others and although you didn't assume good faith and although you even slightly mocked someone, I don't think it was on purpose. I think you meant your comment to be as innocent as they did, but your words have power. It was a misinterpretation, a small mistake just like Akamia's and Kagi's, but a dangerous mistake.
No doubt you will take offense to this message and leave a defensive message on my talk page, but I want you to know that I don't mean to attack you. I'll admit, I probably do sound like it, but believe me, I don't mean to malign you. I disagree not with what you're trying to say in the thread, but the manner in which you are saying it. If you want me to sum up my entire message: just be careful what you say in the future, and please don't jump to conclusions like you did. But you know what, leave the message anyway. I want to see your side of things. -- Shadowunleashed13 (talk) 16:45, November 22, 2013 (UTC)
- Well, you're right, I'm not in your position and I can't see any of this from your perspective. I just felt like I had to say something about it, mainly to see how you felt about the whole thing. It's surprising how much your short reply clarified, though. -- Shadowunleashed13 (talk) 17:54, November 22, 2013 (UTC)
I was wondering if you could take part in an interview for my Person Profile project in my journalism class. It would be 10-15 ?'s and be mainly focused on you educational success. I don't have many options for an interviewee, but you are the best right now. I case you are wondering this will not go into my school newspaper or anything. Do you want to do it on skype, chat or talk messages? I need this done by Thursday at the latest. Can you do it?21:46, December 2, 2013 (UTC)
RE: Sonic Personality Quiz
Hey Bullet Francisco, it's Doug from Wikia again. Wanted to stop in and thank you again for letting us embed the Sonic Lost World Personality Quiz on the Sonic Wiki! I also wanted ask you for one more favor, and it's your decision on whether to grant it or not.
We would like more for users on the Sonic wiki to take part with the quiz. Are you willing to link to the quiz somewhere on the mainpage, and/or draft up a Community message letting the userbase know of the quiz? I know Sega would enjoy seeing more users here take part in the quiz :)
