Vapours of Destiny

Sonic the Hedgehog's image appearing in the Vapours of Destiny, from Sonic the Comic #116. Art by Richard Elson.

The Vapours of Destiny is a product that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. They are the product of a magical spell known to Sister Haggra, leader of the Drakon Empire's House of Magic.

Description

The Vapours of Destiny are conjured from a stone cauldron in the headquarters of the House of Magic (The ingredients of the brew are unknown, but several bones were seen in the cauldron). The Vapours can show images of people and they are never wrong.

Sister Haggra used the Vapours to show her the one who had the answer to the ancient mystery, who knew the secret of the Chaos Emeralds, and the Vapours showed her Sonic the Hedgehog. Although Haggra did not recognise Sonic, she summoned Emperor Ko-Dorr and Master Scholar to ask them about him. Ko-Dorr did know Sonic, but pretended not to, as he planned to take the Chaos Emeralds for himself.[1]
