Vector-Zilla is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is an alternate version of Vector the Crocodile from an alternate version of Mobius.
Prior to his mutation, Vector looked exactly like Vector Prime before his training with Mighty. After being mutated, Vector-Zilla grew to colossal height, his eyes turned red, and his body structure underwent an alteration, resembling that of a Tyrannosaurus.
Originally, Vector lived on Knothole Island. When he was exposed to the fallout from a Chaotomic energy test on the island, Vector mutated into a hideous and gigantic rampaging monster. He would then become a threat to Kintopolis and its people, attacking the city on at least one occasion.
Powers and abilities
Following his mutation, Vector-Zilla gained unprecedented might to match his size, such as increased super strength and enough durability to withstand military weapons.
- Vector-Zilla was not given a name in his debut. Ian Flynn has stated that he is unaware of any official names for him either, but said that it would be fine to tack a "-Zilla" on the end of Vector's original name.
- In a similar case, Vector the Crocodile in Sonic X was also enlarged to a colossal size in Sonic X #39 where he took a blowgun shot that enlarged his cells. Unlike Vector-Zilla, however, Vector retained his personality.
